Freshly returned from New York Comic Con, Vangelus is beefily received by Aaron and Omegus to talk Transformers and Trans4mers. Garnished with topics like blunderbusses, chinese shoe-zombies, and the educated throwdown between Lego and Tenkai Knights.

    00:00:38 - Intro
00:02:32 - A Chinese Zombie with the Strength of Seven Men
    00:11:07 - New Pic Picks
00:35:24 - NYCC Reveals AoE Optimus Prime - Leader Class
00:49:04 - Listener Question from OblivionsLeftHand
    01:05:50 - Listener Question from soundwaveprime1
    01:12:37 - Intermission
01:14:36 - What We Got This Week
01:56:23 - What Tenkai Knights and Non-G1 Pokemon We Got This Week
    03:28:30 - Ending and Outro

I disagree with you regarding the air vehicon's transformation. It's one of the easiest I've ever seen. Ever. And that's what I love about it.

Yeah Tenkei Knights! I opened up a minifigure three pack of them. Their actually kind of worth it just for that compact and intuitive transformation. I mean snap this brick on a lego mechsuit to power it up and suddenly the play pattern feels slightly more transformers than brick building.

Oh man, I am imagining the crazy guy who tried to beat up Michael Bay using the air conditioning unit like how Gipsy Danger used the boat like a freaking sword in Pacific Rim. My God.

Yeah, I don't think they were talking about a giant window box A/C unit, much more likely that you'd see something like this overseas.

I feel like you guys, or at least Vangelus, need to finish watching Rescue Bots and do a podcast about it. You could even get AtSignKrinSyn involved.

I personally think Kou/Kibaranger's biggest crime was not showing up enough. There are a bunch of episodes after his introduction where he might as well not exist.

Although while I have no problem with the kid, I do prefer the sword's personality/voice.

Board gamer nit picker here: smash up isn't technically a deck builder game. Look at Dominion for that kind of game. The kind of game that vangelus was describing is called an lcg "living card game". As for cooperative games Pandemic is a top tier game. If you want something fairly light that plays 10 players and is fun to watch? Grab The Resistance (or resistance Avalon). I can make now suggestions if you think you might play more than a couple board games. There are a ton of really cool board games now and the hobby is in a golden age.

And about "that guy who traded his Blastoise all the way up": that's not possible. There's an uncrossable gap between gen 2 and 3 without the remakes.
