One way I'm not the least bit surprised, they didn't take "Criticism" well over their rehashing of the same mold 15 different ways, that's a bit of a joke on the numbers. But also the pricing point on it's size.

The other way is I'm disappointed. I would of enjoyed having Gauntlet in my wreckers group. And honestly even with them saying maybe a limited release turns me off more. 1) size, 2) price again.

    Oh well.

How about dorky the exact same robot? Seeing as how the FP headmasters are clearly based on the Japanese series, where the headmaster is the same robot in a smaller body.

Seriously? This has been cancelled yesterday and there's almost 10 pages of you all bickering about it still. Get over it and move on.

The main reason people are so irritated is a combination of their initial bad reaction to criticism, combined with the strange explanation for why it was canceled.

I am frustrated by it. Very VERY early in my collecting I preordered the 2nd run of the FP Bruticus figures. It was 6 months late and I was pissed. I vowed to boycott BBTS because of it. I agree that other industries are not allowed such ambiguity. I suppose I have simply gotten used to fluid dates and am willing to believe that it may be more complex behind the scenes than I would suspect.

I would definitely prefer solid dates but at this point it's obvious that isn't realistic.

Not at all. The company normally provides a release date. Now, are they sometimes overly optimistic? Absolutely. However, I do not believe any of the companies are operating in bad faith when they miss the dates. As others have noted, and it is true, these companies do not get "first in line" priority at the factories - they get slotted in as the factory can fit them, and the factory's larger, more steady clients get their stuff done first. If the factory doesn't get it done when they estimated they would, they just threw the whole production schedule for the company out the window.

No, in Japan the character IS the smaller robot, and the big body is basically a mecha they pilot by plugging it it.

The Toyworld Headmasters seem to be the same thing. The heads even transform into little versions of the big robots.

Well congratulations I guess? Enjoy not having toys?

Because a lot of us have patience? It's not hard really. It's the difference between anticipation and impatience. One feels great, the other seems to be your issue.

See, all this is totally understandable, but what's wrong with transparency? People wouldn't be throwing these guys under the bus so hard if they were adequately explaining the hurdles they're having to jump.

Any word on this thing? I feel like no one's been talking about it for a while.

Are you up to date with the fact the project was cancelled? Yes, there was a hint that they might try a smaller (likely more pricey) production, but we haven't heard anything on this.

Personally, the best we can expect is that some established 3rd party buys these designs.

Price killed it I think but a damned shame for sure because it looked like a great little Bot. I don't know what company would pick it up now as it doesn't fit in any of the Big-Boys established ranges of product.

It was actually the group not being able to handle the negative comments about them planning a ridiculous number of reuses.

Looks like it would fit in with the yet to be released Trash-talk and Cogwheel.
Also, similar size and price...I assume.

Yes, I wanted the Ironhide repaint but you all ruined it for me.

I don't see why people complain about the number of repaints...just don't buy the version you don't want.

Yes, they are milking the mold but it gives people options and no one is forcing you to buy them all. Mold re-use is a win for the fans as well as the company.

I double checked their facebook page, and I was a bit off. They didn't cancel it due to complaints. They canceled it due to, as they put it "retailer mishandling." The most likely explanation was that they weren't prepared to produce the amount of product BBTS wanted. It was likely a good thing in the end. It would have probably become a huge fiasco.
