I still have a hard time looking at these bots, too visually detailed. Its hard to make out what I am actually seeing. Prime is way better than bumblebee. I cant make out exactly what pose hes in or if it one or 2 legs were seeing.
    Blockier would have been better.
Also who can tell what their facial expressions are? I cant.

They're honestly not that complex. We're just not familiar enough with them yet. That, and they're intended for a 40ft theatre screen, not a tiny image of a book cover on teh internets. While these characters may appear to be too much for small mediums, simply blocky characters would have been way too little for a 40 ft screen.

but the empire's news from the page scans are out of date..they still talk about razor fighter. what if the cover is an old design?

    The article says:

Why would they have given them their February cover image any earlier than necessary? Or why would they give them an outdated version of Prime for his first official public debut?

The moviebots kick ass at dealing with children. *happy*

Barricade: "Learn or I WILL OPEN YOUR FACE."

Bumblebee: "Have fun with stickers OR I WILL SHOOT YOU."

I thought they did changes also to Optimus but if you look at the picture carefully and the one from the show or the poster (I'll put links up if needed) they are actually the same design. Its just that in the empire mag it was all shaded in so it looks like he has the front nose of a truck as his stomache. But inside that nose is just shawdows. If you look at the other pic of him (the first one of him with the better face and the gun) that nose outline is still there it just doesnt look the same b/c there is no shawdow inside it just metal. The illusion on the empire mag is that that is full but in reality its the same design and on the gun pic, it has that same shape that looks like the of the nose of the truck outline. Im not saying your wrong Im right. Because Im willing to admit that I COULD be wrong and I did think the same thing. But after analysing it over again & again, I came up with the same shape. I will have to post some pics up for similarities. Anyways lol

It seems to me that the shot of Prime on Empires cover is after he scans the semi cab. This being the case I think primes chest just hasn't transformed all the way yet into it's chest cavity

I think shadows and lightning make "both designs" look more different than they really are.
