Star Saber will win and they'll decide he's popular enough to reissue. I know this because I just bought a vintage. They always reissue after I buy a vintage.

 

I been waiting for them to announce a well. I hope it us Starsaber.

 

Hey, I bought a pair of Takara Generations (Senator) Ratbats for a low price, wasn't completely happy with the finish on either and just recently ordered a third. Within a couple of days, Masterpiece Ratbat is revealed, so maybe you're onto something!

Star Saber would be an easy pass for me. No attachment to the character

 

I think I would've been more interested in doing Decepticon leaders, since it would a real battle among V2 Megatron, Galvatron, Megazarak, Black Zarak, Overlord, and Deathsaurus alone.

Still, out of the offerings for Autobot commanders, I reckon Star Saber's design is among my favorites. The problem of course, would be wanting a Victory Leo MP mold that could combine. Kind of the reason to stay away from the Car Robots / Micron Legend / Superlink / Galaxy Force iterations of Optimus.

 

I never liked the Galaxy Convoy / Sonic Bomber combo. Galaxy Convoy was awesome enough just by himself and even had wings.

Star Saber winning means a Victory Leo would have to be designed as well. They couldn't really go that route without planning for Victory Saber, it would be leaving a lot of money on the table and just walking away IMO.

 

Can you buy a vintage Doubledealer/clouder?

Not until the end of the year IIRC, and then a year from that the toy will be released.

I think PoweredConvoy has it about right (even without any sources).

Since voting closed on the 6th, I would imagine that it would mean anything postmarked by the 6th. Add mailing time to get everything in + getting an accurate count + possibly putting together a presentation + finding a good time to make an announcement that people will be able to focus on = it very well could be a few weeks to a few months to find out the results. So end of the year for an announcement isn't unreasonable. As far as when the MP is released, I always assumed it would be at the end of next year. It seems reasonable that to go from final development to prototype stage to scheduling and completing production to getting them distributed would put it at end of 3rd quarter to 4th quarter release. They already have MP releases scheduled through the 1st and 2nd quarter, so a 3rd to 4th quarter makes sense.

 

I always assumed they would announce the winner within a few days, then do a full reveal of the mold or finished product months down the road

 

I have watched it, first time was a fan sub MANY years ago. Still have no attachment to the Character

 

I totally forgot it was a mail-in… duh, you had to send in the points. I guess I'm just so used everything internet now… plus since I wasn't able to vote, it was easy to ignore/forget the details.

So yeah, we'll be waiting some time.

 

IIRC the winner will be announced at Winter Wonderfest or something like that.

Agreed I bought Victory earlier this year and I love the show! IMHO they should make all Victory characters into MP's!
