Yes, you should. It was a rare film series where each installment was actually better than the previous one.
The Road Warrior is the only one I love. It's one of my favorite action movies, and it has a neat Western vibe to it. I like the first a lot too, but it just isn't on the same level as the second one. Mainly, I like the first half hour and the last half hour too. I haven't seen Beyond Thudnerdome in a while, but I don't remember liking it very much. It wasn't awful and has some competent action scenes. However, it feels like such a different movie because of all the kids and the PG-13 rating. Sure Max gets more of his humanity back at the end of the second one, and it had a kid too, but this just feels too different in tone to me. As someone who is a fan of classic car chase movies, I love the concept of this movie being like one big car chase. Need For Speed did something similar to that, and I enjoyed that.
I don't know, Thunderdome can't touch The Road Warrior. Road Warrior is one of the best action films of all time.
I've been waiting 29 long years for this movie & not only is there no Mel Gibson... they blow up the Interceptor?! Fuck this shit! To hell with you George Miller!
An English Max filmed in Africa. That has a lot of us Aussies worried but I'll wait until I see it until I make my judgement. PS. If anyone here is ever comes to Melbourne Australia, let me know and I can give you a tour of where they filmed the first Mad Max.
Mad Max trailer ok lets see what we got... *starts watching* Oh shit! New Interceptor!!!!! *New Interceptor gets totalled* GOD DAMN IT!
Yeah they really need to stop crashing the coolest car in the movies. I really missed that Ford Falcon in the third movie. At least I will get to drive it in the new video game they're making.
Road Warrior has the best action of the three, hands down. But I enjoyed Beyond Thunderdome's world building was fantastic. It was the first film that seemed to really delve into the new culture that started forming after the apocalypse. I don't think it's a lot better than Road Warrior, but it still holds up as my favorite of the trilogy.
Have to agree, Thunderdome is my favourite of the three. It goes into more depth about the new world that's taking shape; communities such as Bartertown rising from the ashes of the war as people try to cobble together some sort of a productive life for themselves. Tina Turner is also awesomely over the top and hugely enjoyable to watch as Aunty. Embargo! As for this - I'm looking forward to it. From the trailer it has the potential to be a worthy addition to the Mad Max world.
I'd rather see how civilization broke down between mad max and road warrior. In one you got the bronze still going to bars and having an old office building. Then bam everyone is in the desert
I'd love to see an Aussie XB Ford Falcon coupe as a Transformer.Maybe a rogue Autobot loner driving around looking for energon.
