To cash in on the cheepo supernatural horror movie genre. It was initially supposed to be a megabudget adventure flick, but the flop of Battleship turned it into the movie it is now.
i saw this movie back in the early 00's. when it was called Bunshinsaba. it was actually quite good. and is free on crunchroll.
I don't know about anyone else, but it's annoying when people said 'Michael Bay's TMNT', and now 'Michael Bay's Ouija'. Does nobody know the difference between directors and producers? Or do people just want to raise 'dur hur michal bai sux'?
Didn't they already do this in the 80's they called it something else so they could avoid paying a fee. Oh yeah There were 4 or 5 sequels.
I didn't see it but it looked scary to me on the previews, I don't know of any horror movie that hasn't had similar situations as in other movies tgere is only so much you can do.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dg-zLiSNPqQ I turned the trailer off after about 15 seconds. It was that dumb.
i had to see the trailer 8 times in the theater, since like august. that trailer was really dumb. Hasbro, call me back when it is the monopoly man killing people with a ouija board. aka blundering them to death with it. because i bet THAT would be a better movie.
‘Ouija 2’ Lands Director Mike Flanagan, Actress Annalise Basso Well, if Tim Burton's ALICE IN WONDERLAND could get a sequel, so could this one.
Quality of writing aside, Alice in Wonderland grossed over 1 billion worldwide. Ouija...didn't. That's kind of a big difference there.
a horror movie has different monetary standards and goals. people like building horror franshises.. saw, insidius, scream, friday the 13th, and so on. so, a sequel to a mediocre (or even bad) horror movie wouldn't be too much of a surprise.
To me, this movie had the feel of being another "Final Destination" series, especially now, if they make more of them. They just used a Ouija board/spirits to be the boogey man. End result, teens use board/teens die.
