Yes, but it won't start till fall at least. Geoff Johns has a big hand in it which is why he hasn't been doing as much DC work as he used to. Their basing it on his new origin for Barry. I know he's writing some episodes.

 

Not familiar with her acting, or the character for that matter. That said, she's hot... so no complaints here. Though I'm a tad upset that they apparently aren't going with Ernie Hudson for her father.

 

Huh, I thought they'd already cast that part like a month ago.

 

Maybe it's the glam shot of her, but she looks way too mature for this 'Barry'. Maybe if I see them side by side, it'll work better.

On top of the flash we're getting... Vibe????? seriously??? The guy who couldn't support his own comic past six issues and was killed off in his short run in the JLA?
Of all the heroes that would work better and make more sense? I expected to see Jay Garrick before Vbe.

 

It's comforting to know that they're almost done with casting for the pilot. Hopefully that means they'll have it ready so that if they're green-lit for a season, it'll then be ready to air this fall alongside Arrow season three.

I can see it. Vibe was pitched as the guy who could take down Flash in JLA recently and there seems to be an overall push to rehabilitate the character.

It looks more streamlined, which works. It's got that "compressed" look, like it could come out of a small compartment (like a costume ring).

The visor is a good touch.

And I think those are wings on his head (good homage to Jay Garrick, the first Flash).


Overall, I'd say this is a good look... Of course, it's just artwork. But it makes it work.

Iris is supposed to look more mature than Barry.

How can you not be familiar with Iris? She is only Barry's wife and Wally's aunt.

I haven't read any of the Flash comics, and my only exposure to the Flash has been through the cartoons (Super Friends, JL, and JLU). Though even my memory of those is rather fuzzy. I barely remember the Flash himself.

Very awesome casting. Leading theories are that he's either Barry's dad or Jay Garrick. I'm hoping for the latter, personally, because that would be so cool.
