Because Edgar Wright (as this was before he left) wanted to work on the Worlds End film as a favor to a friend who is the producer of the film who descovered he had cancer, so he went to make that film as a favor for him, thus they had to delay Ant-Man till Phase 3 (if i am wrong Wright said that if he didnt made worlds' end yet he would've made Ant-Man earlier). they were never a couple in the movies anyway, just best buddies.

the events of Ant-Man will take place AFTER Avengers 2. theres NO Ant-Man in this movie, No Pym involvement in Ultron creation. if anything we wont have Ant-Man in the Avengers till Avengers 3
As far as we know. However I thought there were some hints that some of Ant-Man would take place in the past (like flashback sequences) because they are looking for possible doubles to stand in for a younger Michael Douglas.
i know but i mean the main storyline with Scott Lang will take place after Age of Ultron (unless they change their mind and make the entire Ant-Man film into a 60s period film )
