Well, at least there's one person who agrees with me. And you're probably right, they just wanted to show off the "cool CGI capture".

 

I love the comic book Ultron design, but it just wouldn't work in film. Same reason why theres no spandex etc.

 

I agree, as long as they have his normal look as one stage to his upgrading, I'd be okay, but the reason why the change as well, is the factor of the Iron legion, they're all basic Ultron Design and instead of making him red instead of blue they made him different to show that he is the unique one, the one in charge, that and also with the more human look, he's just a better evil reflection of man's technology.

 

I was a little put off by Ultron's final design at first but now I'm grown to like it. I can understand how some people may not like how it's different from the comic design but from the looks of it, it's not like we won't see the comic based design in some way or another like with Ultron's drones. Also it does tie into the theme of the movie and with the role of Ultron. If you think about it Ultron's face does evoke a little of that of a wooden puppet which ties into his words of having no strings on him making him even more of a darker version of Pinoccohio.

 

I disagree, I think it works fine in a film, evident with the first few moments of the trailer when he makes his debut. His mouth wasn't moving or anything then, and his eyes were flickering.

All this talk about him and he's the only character we have yet to see in trailers! I need to see him!

 

I think that's a good thing. The less we know, the better.

 

I honestly don't want to see Vision in any trailers. Save him for the movie.

Except for the appearance of Gray Hulk kicking over that car.

 

That's not grey Hulk, it's probably during the Hulk-Buster fight. the colours are just very muted. Probably to clash against the shiny red and gold.

 

Looks pretty gray to me.

 

He's still very obviously green. He's just covered in dust & debris in that shot.

no, the dust and crap around him looks grey, Hulk however is very much green.
Why you think they'd just drop a shot of grey Hulk in a TV spot without any prior announcement of his inclusion is beyond me though.

 

Hey look, that same shot of Ultron firing magic looks visibly more refined on a technical level than when we first saw it!
