I thought the Fantastic Four Movies were okay personally, as long as they don't make Galactus a f*cking cloud I'm fine.

So far they're 0 for 3. Maybe fourth time's the charm for the Fantastic Four? :D

    There was a THIRD one?

On topic, I'm glad they're redoing it. I suspect it's so that it can fit into the Avengers/Marvel verse that has been established, but since they've all been relatively good since they started that series with the original Iron Man (worst "pre-avengers" movie IMO is Thor, and I really, really liked that one) I have faith in this reboot. I mean, if they could save Hulk from that abomination (no pun intended) first film where his father was a stormcloud or something, they can save Fantastic Four.

If you count the unreleased 1994 film, then yes there are 3 Fantastic Four movies

That explains why I've never heard of it, but I wouldn't count it anyway.

It counted, it was made just so the director could keep the movie license another few years. It's pretty bad, but sadly their doom's acting and motivation was more convincing than the big budget version.

Hopefully this one won't suck and they'll make Doom the bad ass villain he was supposed to be instead of a chump.

I doubt it, Fox still retain the rights to the characters, plus Fox have said their new reboot will be set in the X-Men universe aka Earth-10005

I'm not too happy seeing the reboot go forth, I much prefer it went back to Marvel.
The 2015 date is very odd through. Most Marvel titles that's been given to other film companies usually expire around 5 years if no new movie is made. 2007 was the last film made and the 2015 date would be 8 years later... I wonder if Fox paided off Marvel to hold the rights or Marvel gave them an extension?

Probably never happen in our lifetimes. Same with X-Men and Spider-Man.

As long as these other studios are able to continue retaining the rights by continuing to produce movies, they will do whatever they need to to keep on retaining the rights.

Although out of those three franchises, FF is the one I could most see being given up on and reverting to Marvel.

Well, this is awkward. Only two things in these movies were any good: one was Johnny Storm and the others was Benn Grimm. Now Chris Evans is playing Captain America and probably way too buff to be the Human Torch....

Mind you I don't think Michael Chiklis is doing much, so yeah we can have him back.

He's currently starring in the TV series, Vegas, alongside Dennis Quaid.

Yep, he sure is and it's been renewed for Season 2.

So, not really going to be a reboot? Huh.

The old movies weren't bad. In fact, every time I saw saw Jessica Alba, I went "Ooh Boobies!"

And I loved Johnny and Grimm too.
