I think I'll have to see this twice because I won't be able to concentrate on anything other than Jennifer Lawrence.

it wont affect anything, back in 2012, it was confirmed that Marvel and Fox both can use Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in each other films if they want but

1. if they appear in a MCU film, they cant be mutants and cant be related to Magneto
2. if they appear in a X-Men film, they cant be avengers

My belief is that Brian Singer intents for DOTFP to be a reboot of a sorts, by eliminating most of the canon from X3 and start anew from FC and makes X-Men his own franchise from this point forward. I am sure we'll see another 2-3 movies after this and it'll branch off to other solo or origin movies, much like what the Marvel is doing by expanding the cinematic universe.

This is a dick move by Singer, no doubt, and if he's not careful I will boycott the movie just to spite him. It's too bad Matt Vaugh isn't around to direct this one.

 

I really wish we just got an actual First Class sequel instead of whatever the hell this is supposed to be.

 

Well then what would work as a sequel for it then?

 

I still think a sequel to First Class could have been the first five X-Men (Cyclops, Beast, Iceman, Angel, and Jean) being brought together by Prof. X to take on Magneto and the Brotherhood.
