‘Ant-Man’ Film Avoids Domestic Abuse Story From Marvel Comics

I'm so happy to hear that the whole domestic violence thing will be avoided from the movie altogether. It's a good sign that the writers are going to make Hank Pym despite some gruffness he'll likely have in the movie a likeable guy you can root for.

 

Not a fan of this costume. Hopefully it grows on me.

 

I wonder if Hope becomes Wasp later on the movie as well as possibly having her mother be Jan who used to be the original Wasp?

 

I kind of like how we have 3 different actors playing 3 different incarnations of Antman in the same film.

Thank god they're avoiding it. I mean it's obvious they would avoid it but it's good to know it's truly not going to happen.

Michael Douglas will play Hank Pym, the first Ant-Man but retired.

Paul Rudd is Scott Lang, the second and this movie's main Ant-Man.

Corey Stroll will play Yellow Jacket, although another alias to Hank Pym later in his career, shall be his own character and villain.

 

This is the first Marvel movie that has actually pissed me off in the development stage. Still despise we're getting the Scott Lang Ant Man, and I hate we're just disregarding the domestic issues of Hank (or so it sounds). Marvel done fucked this up for me.

Pym sounds like he'll be a somewhat cantankerous yet a good hearted person. I can't wait to see him interact with Scott.  

 

So if they haven't started filming yet what is it that we are listening to is this something that was filmed a long time ago? I'm confused.

I too am glad they are avoiding the domestic abuse storyline Hank wasn't in his right mind when that happened and it would take a lot to go through that whole storyline to get there plus they want their heroes to be heroes and this isn't a good way to do that.

Maybe Hope Pym becames her succesor?. but so far no confirmation if theres a Wasp in the film, only Ant-Mens

 

Man that's pretty tragic about what happened to Jan.  

 

Goddammit. She was really the one character I wanted too see so badly in the MCU. ;_;
