Took my nephew to see AM finally, we loved it, laughed a lot, enjoyed the CGI as well... sad, boohoo moment for him was when they took out Anthony. Awww...... but I told him to wait for the next one.
Antony, but yeah, I too was sad to see him go. Weird personal note, I was never into the Ant-Man character(s) before this movie, but I did used to use the name "Antman" on various video game save files, when I was younger.
Uh, never noticed how the left side isn't finished yet....makes sense since Hank did say it wasn't finish, just never noticed is all.
I'm surprised by the positive feedback to the character. I mean, I didn't hate him, but I felt he was a character that wasn't going to be liked.
that blue is quite blue I was expecting something closer to THE ULTIMATES uniform, which was basically black . . . . although this ain't X-men. Can't wait to see who ends up wearing it
According to a Michael Pena interview he based him on a real person it's hilarious https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNbWln5vDZ0
I won't lie I grinned when I first saw this suit. It's one of the most impressive suits Wasp has so far. It sort of reminds me of the Marvel Disk Wars suit in a way which I dig. Speaking of Wasp since Feige confirmed she won't be in Civil War because he didn't the movie to be bloated I have to wonder what movie in Phase 3 would she be at then? I honestly can't see where she'd make her big debut in any of the Phase 3 movies other then Infinity Wars but even then I can't help but wonder how she'll do it when that movie is going be big enough for pretty much every hero. I guess I'm being a little impatient since we had to go a long time without Wasp and I don't like the idea of having to wait a long time again.
Really? I could tell from his first joke ("Yeah man, she left me. And my mom died. And my dad got deported. But I got the van!") that this guy was the kind of comic relief that worked. As opposed to the spastic nonsense that erupts from the comic relief in some movies (not to name names, but Transformers, Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, Transformers Dark of the Moon, Transformers Age of Extinction. Again, not to name names... The Rock, Armageddon, Bad Boys, Bad Boys II, and Pearl Harbor. But, once again, not to name names. Michael Bay. MICHAEL BAY. MICHAEL BAAAAA-), Luis has a clear perspective that drives his behaviors and dialogue. The comedy is drawn from his character, as opposed to just being.
Exactly. Luis is how you do comic relief characters properly. He felt like a natural person in the context of the story. Most of the time comic relief characters these days feel forced in just because a movie needed to have one.
i think it will be Infinity War, i dont see how she would fit into Doctor Strange, Guardians, Spider-Man and Thor. unless they are able to get Evangeline Lilly to agree to make a guest appearance as Wasp on Agents of SHIELD or the Netflix shows
Captain Marvel has ALL the right pieces of a puzzle to easily include Wasp, Pym & Ant-Man without it feeling forced. And that's the one I have my money on as being the quasi first 'sequel' for those characters... mainly because their draw would greatly help get more people to Captain Marvel.
Actually I'd quite like that, plus it would be two major female heroes which would definitely amp up the attraction to go see, plus it would be more or less the same to her first appearance and origin in Avengers EMH.
I was willing to agree with you on Pena's character and performance, but then you had to go and kick around the TF movies in a thread that has nothing to do with them. It's gotten you in trouble before and it brings a needless negativity to this thread. You are relentless. We get it, okay? Build a bridge and get over it. FFS you love to cause problems where none need to exist. *sighs* Blocklist time.
One that isn't necessary in this thread. He could have made his opinion known without mentioning which movies he was talking about. He himself said "not to name names..." and he's used those movies to cause problems in countless threads. He doesn't like the movies, that's fine. He wants to voice his opinion in general and about this movie, that's fine. He wants to drag the Transformers movies and their value or level of merit through the mud every chance he gets, that's fine if it's in the appropriate thread. This ain't it. Can you give me one good, honest reason why he needed to derail a thread with his well known TF movie hate in a thread about a completely unrelated topic? A thread about Ant-Man? We get it, we do. He hates the TF movies, that's truly fine. That's his right, he just doesn't need to dredge it up each and every chance he gets. There's literally no reason to do so and it's gotten him in trouble before because he baits people with it, they respond, he responds problematically and then it all goes downhill from there. It's literally needless behavior in this thread. There's no conceivable reason to have brought them up other than to cause trouble, which has gotten him banned in the past. Why ruin a perfectly good thread with this bullshit? I mean, seriously.
Spoiler That was the joke. I was being self deprecating. EDIT: I've edited the original post to make the joke clearer. I think way overdoing it and beating the reader over the head with it makes it funnier, actually.
