My favorite Batman movie is the 1989 one. Hope no one kills me for this but I find The Dark Knight very overrated. I just never found it being a real Batman film like it was for the Tim Burton ones and even the ones made by Joel Shumacher. Well, one of the two he made anyway.

I'm rather fond of Batman & Mr. Freeze: Sub-Zero, but it's not on the list.

Of the ones on the list, I'll probably go with The Dark Knight. Even though Ledger's Joker is not my favorite, it's definitely one way to go with the character. I think the story is more complete, well thought-out and satisfactory than the others.

I just don't think the previous Bat films hold up over time. Batman and Batman Returns are pretty good, but the casting is not great and there's too much Tim Burton in them.

I found batman 89 an overall poor film from a character point of view, there is way to much joker for my liking, to give the joker an origin was a mistake from burton. When the film is about batman/Bruce Wayne, we may is well not bothered having Gordon in the film, because he was pointless and useless in the film anyway

All I'm doing is just expressing an opinion, nothing more even it is rather unpopular. At least with the 1989 movie, it's something I can actually have fun watching many times over. For The Dark Knight, not so much. Do love Gordan in the Nolan films though. Him revealing to be alive and well in that film and helps taking down the Joker, at least the first time around, marks as my favorite moment of the whole movie. Plus, not everyone has the same opinion as you. If everyone has the same exact opinion about everything, the world would be so boring.

The Dark Knight is best. Batman Begins is second. Batman 89 is third.
