I think it's safe to say that Hollywood is so low in ideas that just about ANYTHING can and probably will be made into a movie now.

It's only a matter of time before we get Clutch Cargo: The Movie.

Also, IIRC, isn't the kid supposed to be the dog's pet? It's been a while since I saw that specific "first" episode, and beyond that they never seemed to bother acknowledging it, but I'm pretty sure that if they keep that detail in there's probably going to be a LOT of shit coming down about human slavery being promoted in this film.
