What this shake up does do is make 2019 a more full year for Marvel, which went from being one movie to three movies.

So (and forgive me I don't have the MCU timeline in front of me) Captain marvel is going to be released after Infinity War Part 1? Wasn't she supposed to be in Infinity War Part 1? How does this effect scripts for the other movies?

Yes, Captain Marvel was always intended to come After Part 1, but before Part 2.

In the 2014 Slate: Cap Marvel was set for July 2018
In the "Spider-Man" Slate: Cap Marvel was pushed to November 2018
In the new "Ant-Man 2" slate: its now March 2019

all 3 dates for her movie were after Infinity Part 1, but right before Part 2, and i doubt it will affect her movie, considering it was always meant to came after Part 1.

and Kevin Feige said they always plan out how the stories will go in case they change something. as he said if we do this, then this is how things will go. if we dont, we will do something else.

I think this slate has become a bit overloaded. To have so many movies and multiple stand alones in-between Infinity War, I dunno.

The last year or so of MCU news has made me increasingly angry. They're going to derail Captain America, their most consistently good series, with an adaptation of the worst story they've ever published. They pushed back the Inhumans so they could make Spider-Man 6, and now they've conveniently moved both of their minority lead projects into the winter months where movies go to die.

Having them in February and March, could help those movies, because there wont be enough competition. If films like Lego Movie can do great in February-March, who says Captain Marvel and Black Panther cant?

You do have a valid pint. The Lego Movie is probably my favorite movie in general, so there's a glimmer of hope.

Bullshit, they're not going to derail anything with Cap. If any movie could and probably will be better than Winter Soldier, it's going to be Civil War.

It's not Spider-Man 6. And, yeah, no kidding they pushed something as lame as Inhumans back to make room for the biggest Marvel property.

February happens to be Black History Month, so moving Black Panther UP to that release date is definitely no coincidence.

Also, did you seriously just infer that Captain Marvel aka a woman is a "minority"? :rolleyes2

Captain America 2 was in early April and made bank (and I loved it being in April). I personally would like to see more Marvel movies in the off months as I don't really care when they release it (summer, fall, winter, spring). Just get it out there for me to enjoy!

To be fair, in the context of action films, female led movies are a minority which is what he means by that. And the Spider-Man 6 comment was a joke referring to how many Spider-man films have been made. Hell, some of the general audience is getting a little tired of him and it's showing i the past Spidey films' box office. It's the same complaint WB/DC is getting with Batman in DCEU. Yes, they are the most popular characters of their respective companies, but both companies should not rely so much on them and let other lesser known properties shine. Focusing on lesser known properties is why the MCU is so successful. Hopefully, Marvel knows this and take it in to consideration when making Phase 4.

That's cool. I just hope Carol Danvers appears in another movie before her own movie though.

Respectfully, fuuuuuuuuuuuuck that. It's a ridiculous justification to an equally ridiculous out of whack contextual viewpoint. Woman are not "minorities", and no matter how badly someone wants to Huffington Post this absolutely ******ed topic, it doesn't make it true. Is she still getting a movie? Yup. Done. So all the feminists & misandrists can shut the hell up about it already. Either that, or just move on and go watch Twilight again. :rolleyes2

Bryan Cranston Wants To Play A "Nasty" Marvel Villain

"You know what I'd like to do? I'd like to do some big superhero villain in some Marvel classic," Bryan Cranston told Metro at the London Film Festival premiere of his new movie Trumbo. However, the actor then implies that he's not interested in playing a long-established bad guy. "Create one from scratch… I don’t know what I would do but it would be nasty," he added.

It'll have to be an established villain, but I'm sure he'd rock whoever it was he is cast as.
