New 'SpongeBob SquarePants' Movie in the Works, Eyeing Late 2014 Release

Here's hoping it's the long needed finale to the series.

 

This is gonna make some people rage.

 

Holy shit really? I loved the first film, but haven't really watched the show since....but still I think i'll check this out

 

I actually liked the first one(yes, I know that's lame), I too hope this ends the show.

Will be kinda sad to see it go, I mean its been pretty terrible since 2005 onwards but still its been around for 13 years.

 

I will actually see it . . . eventually . . . possibly long after 2014 . . .

I raged the moment I saw this.

A part of me wants this to happen so that it could be "the" finale to this show that should have died out years ago, giving new cartoons a chance to shine without having that yellow turd push them to the black hole that is the Nicktoons channel.

Unfortunately, the other part of me doesn't want this to happen because the idea of another Spongebob Squarepants movie is just idiotic. Don't get me wrong, I liked this show...when the creator was still on. After Stephen Hillenburg (spelling?) left, the show pretty much went down the shitter, becoming Nickelodeon's life support.

 

He left? When?

 

After the movie, I believe. I think the movie was honestly the last good Spongebob made. ._.

 

Eh, there was a couple good ones recently........

 

I thought this show was over, oddly enough. I should have known better.

 

I got mixed feelings about this.

I enjoyed the first film when it came out years ago. So I hope that the second film will at least be as funny. I've heard about the show being milked to death by Nick.

 

I hope they can get the original writing team back for this, Spongebob deserves to go out with a bang, if only because it started out so well.

 

Tbh, from what i've seen of the latest series, it's still miles better than all the other musical/sitcom crap that Nick continues to churn out every fucking day.. and now there's a fucking Fred show?...Whatever happened to the old Nick?

 

FINLAND! Whether I see this in theaters or not is questionable, I saw the last one in theater and had odd looks... I imagine doing so would probably be worse.

 

The old Nickelodeon died when Rugrats jumped the shark.

 

Don't forget that Nick today also has the Penguains of Madagascar,Kung Fu Panda Legends of Awsomeness,and later on this year Legend of Korra to name a few. Sure maybe those cartoons aren't the same ones we were used too when we were younger but it's still better then the alternative if you get the drift.

 

Those bloody penguins.......excuse me whilst I rage quietly....I haven't looked at the Kung Fu Panda show yet because it never seems to be on here and I have no idea what the hell Korra is...wasn't Nick going to make a How to Train your Dragon cartoon? or was that CN?
