I thought considering there wasn't a thread for this(I think?)I should make this.

TMNT 2012 Teaser Trailer Nickelodean - YouTube

As you can tell from this trailer, it doesn't look promising, as all.

But keep in mind the show hasn't even started yet and that trailer was a year ago.

    Post news and stuff.

Doesn't seem so bad. The CGI looks unfinished to put it mildly, who knows, it might turn out to be good.

I don't think it will be able to outdo the 2003 series though, that series had Gargoyles-level of writing.

Damn right it did. That show was like my favorite show ever up until FF, I completely skipped that season and just watched the last one for the sake of it being the last season.

Turtles in Time made me forget about FF and BTTS.

Hopefully the CGI will be much better for the actual show. Otherwise I doubt I'll enjoy this, tbh. Doesn't help that I'm getting a little tired of seeing so many new shows turn to CGI just to either half-ass it or find some way to over-do it (I consider Clone wars to have done both simultaneously).

Some solid writing will certainly help the show's cause if the CGI isn't significantly better.

Just a headsup, April is supposedly a 16 year old girl who Donny has a crush on.

I will check this out because it's the boys in green, but if this is true, then TMNT probably died with the 2003 show. Though I did like the CG movie.

Realistically though, I'm probably just overreacting.

Sure, but I think it sux, lol. I grew up with these green bastards. I think they even hit a bigger soft spot than Transformers. Even the 80's cartoon in all its silliness made her a connection to the outside world that came with some adult experience.

I guess Turtles Forever was the only chance I ever got to see the black and white comic come to life. I'd probably bleed out of my eyes if I ever saw a prime-time black and white cartoon. Like all of the blood from my body would come out from my eye. Fortunately, that will never happen, so I will never hemorrhage from my eyes until I die from it.

I believe this new show will bring back Krang and Bebop and RS.

Toys give me a shitload of hope though

I hope those early accounts about her being a little girl are wrong. She's Casey's girl. And Casey's a no-nonsense vigilante with zero-tolerance and an attitude problem.

This is the same preview that they showed over a year ago.

If this is based off the new comic, then yeah, April is 16-18 as is Casey Jones. In the Raphael One-shot, we are shown Bebop and Rocksteady in human form with allusions that they will be back at some point....

I love the comic, I'm watching this show, I'm getting the figures :D

EDIT: In case you haven't seen them...

They have the thick legs from the very first comic. If that's what they look like on TV, it might be pretty damn cool. Of course there's also the story.

    Not really.

Never grew up with the original, and didn't like the look of the 2003 4Kids series.

ya wanna know what the big deal is about this show on the TMNT boards? The third toe!! That's right TMNT fans are going apeshit over a third toe. Personally I don't give a shit, I don't like the design of the turtles no matter how many toes they have

I just noticed that, I feel like I should rage just for the sake of it, but I really don't care about it too much.

Third fucking toe?! What the fuck?! I noticed that too on the new toys today and even though I prefer the two-toe design, it makes a bit of sense when compared to the hands. My eye was drawn towards the third toe only because the design of the actual feet. They've gone back to the larger wider feet that was part of the prototype designs of Eastman and Laird's first drawings. Hell, the third toe is insignificant to some of the other major changes they've made to the characters and their interactions. But I'm not going to judge a thing until I see the finished product.

I'm hoping that is going to be the best of all the TMNT series. I like the fact they have the same knee pads and face masks as the movies. I never liked the all the same color gear the used to have in the original cartoon. As for the toys, it make me feel like a kid again seeing the toys, I might just have to pick up the core set. As for the roleplay toys, they're just as great as the originals, my brothers and I always used to play with the 80's ones(when they came out, not now). I'm hoping they keep the Splinter look the same(as shown in the playset pics)
