Not sure if anybody else has noticed this, but they've cast Katie Cassidy as Dinah Lance.

I have some issue with the origin of Arrow. How come Oliver Queen is a "Billionaire playboy" and his dad is a detective? Does that mean Oliver is a self made Billionaire and the money don't go to his dad? Can someone shed light on it because it's been bugging me all day.

Looks good. I love the bow they've got him using. Should be interesting to see what, if any, trick arrows he'll be using. I wouldn't expect the boxing glove, but something other than a standard arrow would be nice.

Laurel Lance's father is the detective. If I'm not mistaken, Ollie's father should be dead, or at least presumed to be dead.

Going off of the description of the show, the only detail I'm not exactly thrilled about is the name of the city, "Starling". It's not a deal-breaker, so I'll get over it, but is it really any more believable than Star City?

This looks pretty good so far. Stephen Amell looks like he fits the role well just based on this clip.

I kinda dont like how brooding he is in that clip. I would like to see the humorous and supporting uncle side of Ollie.

Looks good. I've missed Smallville, and this looks like a suitable replacement.

They had better get her a damn good fight instructor. Like that guy from 'The Raid' for example.

It is very Batman Begins, which is why I'm kind of nervous about. That climbing thing was a neat party trick through :p

Also, I'd have expected a compound bow rather than a recurve, but hey, whatever works best for the effects team.

Well his original origin was getting stranded on an island, just his father wasn't there with him. And during the period Mike Grell was writing him, he was very similar to this.
even went maskless. It was a pretty dark time for Green arrow and Black Canary. For 80 issues they down played the heriocs, and trick arrows. If other heroes showed up they would be in normal clothes. And GL would sometimes kill his foes. Very urban and gritty.

My guess is the people who wrote this read the old Grell series.

I wonder if we will see an adaptation of the longbow hunters

Looks promising. Loved Grell's take. Hope Shado shows up at some point.

My dad saw the trailer for this and asked me

"Is that the guy from the Avengers?"

I wonder how many people think the same? :lol

The excitement continues to grow, for me at the very least. I look forward to seeing how
    Deathstroke
    is handled.

Just saw the pilot, not at all like the smallville version, very Mike Grell type Green Arrow. Violent and he will kill the bad guys. Need to see more, to know if I really like it, but it's off to a pretty good start
