Finally the bad ass Superman i been waiting for.

Man, Synder wasn't kidding when he said that his Superman will be a psychical cat and will definitely hit something.

    Give em hell Sups.

I don't hate it. It does look like Christian Slater wearing the suit though, heheh

Should we post in this thread or the old one?

Anyway, I really like the look of the new Superman. The gigantic S on his chest. He reminds me of an older Tom Welling.

Still have no hope for this film. I love Zack Snyder, but I don't agree with casting choices thus far.

I am a die-hard Superman fan, and I think it's badass. My only complaint: no red around the belt line? Briefs or not, he needs some red down there to break up the blue.

Good God are they using the new DCnU suit?

edit: oh wait, it just looks that way, but least I see the boots are the classic ones.

I'm still not convinced that this one photo means it's going to be great..then again, I'm not as impressed by things as I was 10-15 years ago.

My big problem with Snyder is kind of like the issue some of us have with Michael Bay: knows how to throw us the visuals...but the story needs some work.

While Snyder could visually hit note-for-note stuff like '300' and 'Watchmen,' the emotions didn't really electrify me. Even 'Suckerpunch' seemed more about the visuals as well. SP felt like those drawings I did as a kid where i mashed up 4-6 different things that didn't go well together. It didn't make for a compelling story, but the images looked cool.

Which is ironic considering that this Henry Cavill guy is younger than me. And Tom Welling is older than me.

I don't particularly hate it. Looks a bit like a rippled wetsuit though. Also wish these live-action movies wouldn't keep keep making the costumes in darker colours. You're a superhero - make yourself stand out with bright stuff.

Anyone found a version that's brightened up to see if he's got his ginch on the outside, or none at all like the DCnU version?

    Looks like a good start.
I like the director as he does epic well.
Its hard to bring such a silly suit into the real world, and it does a great job in this picture. I don't get a bastion of heroism vibe from the picture, but there is no mistaking he's powerful.
