With DC just now getting around to a multi-movie universe, people are going to try and claim that they're ripping off Marvel anyways. Hell, if we get more than one villain created by Lexcorp, people might claim that they're ripping off Oscorp and their shtick of seemingly being the source of all of Spider-Man's villains.
Oh, I totally feel the same way. But for some reason nowadays discord is the new cool. I came across a YouTube channel called "YourMovieSucks" and all they did was bitch about movies and TV shows they didn't like. Every episode of Walking Dead video captured and commented on unfavorably. You know, I watched Twilight and Big Bang Theory and decided they are not for me. I didn't continue to watch them so I could dominate every conversation about them and let everyone know I don't like them. I don't get it. If they followed the John Corben route like in Superman TAS that's markedly different than Ultron's origin. I'm just glad I got to live long enough to see multiple DC and Marvel shows where the heroes can actually meet each other. I never thought it would happen.
To be honest, I'm one of those oddities that spends all this time on a TF website, but hardly ever ventures into the TF forums.
Heh, me too, but we've been so long that personally, I've talked to death just about every transformer topic that I want to talk about. Barring the first month following a movie release or the random thread that catches my eye, of course. anybody ever see that dancing Soundwave video? Lulz.
i would agree with you, if he did not bump it up, from March 18th, 2014, in order to complain about gripers, and not "getting over it", then complaining about people who have come in, and disagree with him. this is a conversation that would not even be happening, if he didn't bump this up, to have a conversation about it. I personally came in hoping that there was news on maybe an extended cut, that would fix some of the problems, not all of them, but a lot of them, that i had with the movie. and extended cut could very well make this film a better movie. the same way an extended cut daredevil is a much better movie, if you watch the extended version. but no, it is a discussion about how he hates the haters, that stopped hating this before March, apparently. i also, personally am looking forward to the sequels. i might think this is a pretty bad movie, but they are basically retelling the same story that has been over told. and i think the sequels can easily be better movies. zack snyder isn't a terrible director, i just do not think he is great. but he did fine with Watchmen. i went into the movie, wanting something more like Watchmen. was that too much to ask for? maybe.
Neal Adams Talks MAN OF STEEL; Briefly Touches On SUPERMAN RETURNS "At the end, what did he do? He killed a guy. Can’t put his hand over his eyes? I’m just saying…put your hand over his eyes. That would stop it pretty much. One arm is around the throat, put the other hand in front of his eyes. That’s pretty much it. Take him off to the moon or Saudi Arabia or someplace, and finish the battle there.” "Why were they fighting in Metropolis? I don’t understand…even the Kelvinator movies…I’m sorry I was just joking, the Transformers movies... they went to Saudi Arabia to fight. They’re knocking down the Sphinx and stuff, but they’re not so many people. They’re in the middle of nowhere. They could have gone on the moon, but as soon as Superman hits a building, it’s going to fall down. Didn’t we lose 500 people there? It feels weird.” "The previous movie [Superman Returns] had more Kryptonite than you could ever have and still Superman was alive. You had a whole island of Kryptonite, and then you had him go away for…I don’t know…they said I think six of seven years, they said five years. He’s got a bastard son, that changes the plot a whole lot. I don’t understand where that came from. You would think after that movie they would be very careful about what they wrote so you would go, ‘Ah, thank goodness, I’m fine with this now.’ But no, it just made everybody more nervous, while Marvel is doing all these great movies.”
Personally I'd love to put my hands in front of eyes shooting searing hot fucking laser beams, see how that works out for me.
I don't even like Man of Steel but putting his hand over his eyes doesn't sound like it'd particularly work. Taking him to the moon or desert? Debatable. Transformers didn't cause nearly as much damage until AOE. Oh, the hell do I care, forget it.
I mean...then his hand would have been burned off. Granted it might have given them some time, but still... I've always had the opinion that the concept of Superman killing Zod and that's where his no-killing rule comes, from is a good idea. I just think the movie could have done it better.
Even assuming that Clark's hand wouldn't be melted off, or severely injured, covering Zod's eyes is still just a temporary fix. One that I doubt Zod would allow to happen again. Same goes for taking him away from the city. I'm honestly just going to assume that Neal is going senile.
