I have the same feelings about Godzilla Vs. Hedorah.
I don't like the movie -exactly- but I do like to watch it.

The film is such an odd bag. Besides the stupid cartoons and ultra kid friendly, flying Godzilla, Hedorah is also the only Godzilla foe shown actually killing people.
Gruesomely killing people.
I remember when I was a kid the cat in the Hedorah muck really freaked me out.

 

 

Well someone didn't like my Hedorah review as I just lost a subscriber.  

Yeah, they haven't really done any body counts that a monster caused I think since Raids Again, maybe not even after the original.

 

Yeah, but not just the death count -the fact that you see the deaths onscreen.

Most of the Godzilla films show the people scared, but evacuating the city before the monster arrive. Hedorah shows up, flies over your city, and burns your skin off.

This is one story I've never expected to happen.

 

Kids are so funny. I have a 7 and 5 year old who are big fans of Godzilla. They hadn't even thought of him in over a month, but for the last 2 days they have done nothing but watch Godzilla movies, play Godzilla Unleashed on the Wii, and play with all their Godzilla toys.

 

Well I picked this up today:



I'm going to give this IDW series a try because I've been told it is a vast improvement over the series I dropped 7 issues in that was awful. We'll see. I do like that they use Kiryu Goji in it.

I just found out about this and color me interested!

This is something we've never seen with Godzilla.

 

This is going to be interesting...ridiculous...yeah, but at least its five issues so it'll won't drag too long. I'm in to read and see what Godzilla does when he battle the forces of Hell itself.

 

I can't wait to see Godzilla go up against a Kaiju sized Cerberus.

 

That would be awesome. Then again, Godzilla fighting most things is awesome.

Okay, I really wanna see how this turns out.
