I completely agree. I like to think it was a remake of the Beast From 20,000 Fathoms and it was just mistaken identity.

Anyway, I'm just happy we're getting a new one and, frankly, I don't care who he fights as long as it's good.

Try FYE. They always seem to have a decent Godzilla section at decent prices whenever I go to mine. Got Godzilla vs. Hedora on sale for ten bucks a few weeks ago.

I've got all the Region 1 available films, save 2 - Godzilla vs the Sea Monster and Godzilla vs Megaguirus. In my region, I've noticed many of the films going down in price at Frye's, the only place that still has any of the releases. And what hurts most of all is seeing the Classic Media releases (which are super great) for 5 dollars new at Half Price Books. I paid full price for all of them.

I always thought Biollante was a pretty fascinating (and absolutely BRUTAL looking) Kaiju.

It's too bad that his feature film seems to be so difficult to get a translated version of.

All the FYE stores around me are pretty much closed. I think there's only one left, and I've never gotten anything for a decent price from them sadly...they always seem to mark everything up by $10 or so.

I was just watching it not too long ago and thought the same thing. It's a decent Kaiju movie despite many issues, but it by no means is a Godzilla movie...

    Mothra movie idea

I'm wondering, who here would like to see a Mothra movie, not a Godzilla vs. Mothra movie but a stand alone movie with her as the main moster like she was in her first movie and the Rebirth of Mothra series?

My idea for a Mothra movie would be to explain her origin as the spirit of Order while her sister Battra is the spirit of Chaos. Together in the eggs, they live on Infant Island were they keep the balance of the planet intact. However in the 17th century, Spanish fleet discover the island and take the eggs away and kill the natives on the island except for two girls who were able to escape the slaughter. The two eggs are taken away to separate locations, Battra kept in Spain and Mothra in the Amazon. In the present day, Mothra's egg is found by an expedition team in the Amazon and is then taken to a science facility in the USA where two women can be seen outside. In Spain, Battra's egg hatches who unfortunately now is under a military base and when she wakes up and destroys it. At the mean time, Mothra's egg hatches but the larva is able to escape thanks to the two women. As the film goes on the two larva fight in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Portugal, this battle results in a draw as both are forced to leave because it's time for them to cocoon Battra moves to Madrid where she cocoons her in the to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium while Mothra cocoons herself on the south coast where the one of the main scientists find her and the two women who reveille themselves as the descendents of the girls from the beginning called the Shobijin who are trying to stop the two monsters fighting encase one of them is killed and the balance of the planet is ruined. The two monster hatch from there cocoons and now in their moth forms head to fight each other one on one. The Shobijin try to stop them but the military come in and shoot at them which make Battra destroy them and make Mothra fight her. The two fight until Battra is killed. The Shobijin leave with Mothra disappointed that world balance has been destroyed and worse dangers are to come to the earth.

This idea can go on two have two sequels, the first one is the military makes M.O.G.U.E.R.A. to kill Mothra and other giant monsters while at the same time a blob like meteorite hits the earth who grows and turns into Hedorah. Mothra and M.O.G.U.E.R.A. fight each other until join together to fight Hedorah in Seattle. Both M.O.G.U.E.R.A. and Hedorah are killed but Hedorah leaves with a warning that a greater threat is coming. The third one is the final battle with Mothra fights King Ghidorah with the entire world in danger. The result is that King Ghidorah is heavily injured and flees the planet while Mothra is killed but leaves two eggs which are taken to Infant Island with balance of earth restored.

    What do people think?

Oh Yes. Unfortunatley we have Sentai/Power Rangers now. They'd probably would think it's ripoff even though that outdates Sentai.

Anyways here's My Godzilla reboot draft movie:

Basically this follows the original movie but none of the other Godzilla films as those are only films. Basically in this movie universe Godizlla was a real tragedy that occured and all the other movies were exploits of the tradgedy. Anyways as more nuclear testing occurs in the Pacific Ocean it revives the deceased body of Godzilla and he is revived going on all destruction mayhem buffet and would attack the Western Coast of North America where he would go on to destroy Vancouver. (It would homage Tokyo) Their would be a scientist and a Kaiju fan (yeah the movie is self-aware) who would try to create a new monster to destroy Godzilla after the milatary fails to destroy but that monster goes loose and Godzilla and the new Monster have a all out brawl.

The movie would be self-aware like Scream was with the horror film genre except with the kaiju genre would make little refrences to the different eras of Godzilla.

It would be directed by J.J Abrhams or Quentin Tarantino with Micheal Bay and his crew doing all the special effects and action scenes.

Jet Jaguar is nothing like Power Rangers. He is a robot, flexible and he can shape-shift his body. Power Rangers can go f**k themselves.

He looks more similar to Ultraman

I don't know if its creepy or badass when a Japanese robot that has a grin on its face while kicking ass against a gigantic coachroach/beetle monster and a cyborg bird/lizard with meat hooks for hands and feet with a red visor. With an aid of an atomic spawn lizard with case of cookie monster syndrome (in a good way).

Sorry I haven't seen that Godzilla movie but it's that copyright ripoff stuff that would worry me if they even chose to use him again.

Sadly, I don't think Jet Jaguar will be making another appearance unless they made him "super cool" for the audience or use him in Godzilla videogames, which has already been done.

Personally, I want to see Anguillas getting some love again. He had one cameo in Final Wars but other than that, he's been MIA since the Showa era.

I remember the first time I saw him was when my Mom got me a tape of Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla...I was thoroughly horrified and only slightly traumatized when Godzilla started ripping his mouth open and blood started pouring out from the sides of his jaw.

Immediately after I popped in Godzilla vs. Gigan where they were allies and was like "Huh???" How was I to know it was out of chronological order? lol

Well, Godzilla doesn't rip his mouth, MechaGodzilla does.

Also Angilas didn't have 1 cameo in Final Wars, he appears in three monster sequences.

    Just so you know.

I couldn't remember if it was him or Mecha...it's been a while seeing as I only have it on VHS Tape.

As for Final Wars, I meant his appearance to count as a whole. Regardless of semantics, the point being he was in ONE movie since the Showa era...

The interesting thing is that originally the GMK guardian monsters were going to consist of Varan, Anguirus and Baragon. Baragon was left in but the other two were replaced by Mothra and Ghidorah.
