It looks like the GoBots are headed to DVD (probably through the Warner Archive MOD program), which surprises me since I thought there might be rights issues with it. From Warner Archive's Facebook page: I hope that means both the series and the movie. I know it isn't as good as Transformers, but I still liked the show.
I'd buy that, if it's priced reasonably. I'm searching facebook now, to find this quote. [EDIT!] Yep. Not sure how I can like directly to the question and answer... but the quote is there.
I may get it for a laugh if it is priced right. It was really dumbed down towards kids. I still recall a bit from the pilot. It begins with the two teens and the adult who befriend the Guardians later. They are in a space shuttle over Earth. The boys asks "Wow what's that?" pointing out the window. The adult replies it is the "continent of Australia." Wait so the kid is about 15-16 and doesn't know basic 1st grade Geography?
I downloaded a few episodes recently. I was into gobots before Transformers invaded my life. It hasn't aged well, but it was still fun to watch.
Awsome! Warner comes through again. I really hope Orbots, Clue Club, and Jana of the Jungle get released this year. I wonder if they have the rights to Bionic Six.
Somehow i can imagine it being on HD-DVD though.* * Disclaimer: Gobots weren't necessarily that bad a toy line, just very poorly marketed compared to Transformers.
If Gobots went to BD before Transformers, I'd fart blood. Ok, so Leader 1 is a jet and Prime is a Mack Truck. Who would win without size morphing?
That's just what would make it so awesome in epic proportions of epicness that has yet to be measurable in any quantifiable or satisfactory way.
