Went through the list of recommended anime from friends and built a schedule around it.

Starting out with "To Aru Kagaku No Railgun". Only 4 episodes in, but it's pretty good. An interesting combination of a slice of life anime, a comedy and an action anime.

I'm really enjoying it so far, I just have one question - do the seizure inducing visuals for the villains base (I assume thats what it is) carry on throughout the series? Its really hard for me to watch those sequences, let alone follow them.

Just finished Soul Eater.

Absolutely love the series, but felt the ending was a) Overly ridiculous, b) Out of left field and c) Unconvincing...

Thanks to Draven for the kickass sig!...

IT'S COLON BURNING TIME!!!!...

Just got done with Samurai 7. I thought it was really good. The soundtrack was awesome as well. Japanese drums all over the place.

More interesting than that is someone finally fansubbed Fang of the Sun: Dougram. A single guy did it, took him a few years. So there's an anime I've been waiting to see for a few decades crossed off the list recently.

Hisashi Yuki: G1 characters are typical heroic-looking Japanese robots, while the movie characters have monster-like appearances. I think the former shouldn't be made into the latter.

Just watched the last two episodes of Panty and Stocking and looking forward to a new season. Hilarious, lots of action and a twist ending to make M. Night Shymalalalalalalan proud.

Ordered the first two volumes of FMA: Brotherhood when Amazon had them on sale, so that'll be the next one I watch.

It stops doing that about halfway through.

It was fun watching that series with the lights off...

I really want to start watching Index II, but I'm waiting 'til the whole thing's done so I can marathon it. Loved the hell out of Index and Railgun. Touma's just such a fun protagonist, and the arc finales for Railgun were fucking epic. One of my favourite fictional universes. It's just so much fun how much mileage they can crank out of run-of-the-mill superpowers. X-Men's been around 50 years longer, and they've only stumbled on, like, half of the creative uses of powers that the To Aru... universe has cooked up.

Watched the Black Rock Shooter OVA recently, as well as the Haruhi movie (great movie by the way, if you're a fan of the series. Very poignant, although its heavy drama bent takes a toll on the series' usual brand of humour). Slogging through Trinity Blood right now. Not bad, but not super exciting either. Just trying to get through some of my backlog of series that I'm less excited to see, so I don't burn through all my good stuff.
