It is, what it is. If they find pleasure in it, then they have the freedom to pursue it, within reason.
I would just make the skin color shades based on how light or dark their pony colors are. Twilight would be darker than the rest, AJ would be tan, etc. This is absolutely awesome. A lot of things have sizable fandoms outside the target demographic- Disney movies, LEGO, even Transformers. Ponies just gets special attention because people have this idea that guys can't like girl stuff. (But apparently girls liking guy stuff is just fine...) More people on the internet should be like you, good sir. Simple answer- that happens in every fandom. Like, EVERY fandom. And yes, it can get kinda weird.
Kinda already anwered this but for me its a show i can enjoy with my two neieces its fun and funny. realy its just a decent show that dosnt talk down to its target audiance.. im looking at you Monster High. Meh its more played up in the media but it exists in all fandoms you want to see some of the Transformers hentai i found? or some of the Ben10? no problem just dont trust everything on Fox news we arnt all on sick leave because of this show.

I was really surprised at the end when I saw this was an actual commercial. Hey, I never said it was perfect... Then again Twilight's dad has a darker coat while her mom has a lighter coat.
