    Wow –another great episode.
If I had seen pictures of the Petalars before the show was released I would have already claimed it was ‘Game Over, YEAH!’ for the Thundercats.
But instead it ended being one of the most thought provoking shows I have seen in a long time.

Did anyone else think that Petalar that was in focus flying away looked a lot like Emrick?
    His son perhaps?

I got the impression that there were a lot of casualties, but the population is not completely wiped out.
Enslaved or in hiding –but not dead.
The lizards and Mumm-ra were definitely taking prisoners.

But that’s not to say the show is shying away from death.
I’m sure those cats that were in the zero radius of the explosion are gone.
I’m sure the lizards who are getting slashed by the Sword of Omens aren’t ‘stunned’.

Yeah, I don’t get it either.
    I love both shows.

I also don’t understand why it’s such a big deal to some that the Thundercats didn’t immediately recognize Panthro.
He was driving tech, which the Cats don’t have, it was dark, the light was behind him, and they had been told Panthro was dead.

Does anyone think any of the other Classic ‘Mutant’ races will show up?
There’s much focus on the Lizards, but where are the Jackals, Monkeys, and Vultures?

Yeah, that's pretty fucking silly. I was never into the original TCs, but my fiance climaxes for them, so I gave the new show a shot, and I freakin' love it. It's just a cool fantasy cartoon, TCs or not.

It took the Petalars to remind me that the same animators that work on this also worked on one of my favorite shows - Oban Star Racers. I wasn't thinking the Whos. I was thinking Graveyard Of The Fireflies.

And I'll admit it, I shed a tear this week. Right before I fist pumped to the Thundertank. So much win with this episode.

I bet they will, especially if the show makes it into a second season. Another mutant race I want to see are the elephant people showed on the concept art:

IGN: ThunderCats Screenshots, Wallpapers and Pics

Actually I want to see everything shown on that page. :lol

I guess is just some fans that don´t like Prime or are somehow buthurted it about feel the need to piss on other´s people chereos. This how this fandom rolls time to time.

Also, are the Lizards mechs crewed or robotic?

Between the look and the overly positive reception I'm seriously thinking of giving this show a go. Sounds cool.

Cheetara´s design kinda reminds me of a GLC character I once created.. I had a dude on DA made a pic of her.

I forgot completely that I adored Thundercats.

This show has replaced Clone Wars reruns for me. And I love Clone Wars. I just hope it catches on big time. And doesn't go the way of Samuri Jack.

Silverhawks, I think I need a stiff drink.

This really is the best cartoon on right now. With any other show I could just imagine an episode focusing on tiny plant people being one of it's weaker or downright awful episodes. Not with this show.

Emeric (or however you spell it) was a great character that was only annoying once or twice but I was really sad to the point of holding back tears for a character I had only known for less than 30 minutes. I haven't felt for a character like this since Maes Hughes died, both series, from Fullmetal Alchemist (I would add TFA Prowl but spoilers hurt that impact). So far they are hitting all the right notes. Hopefully it doesn't end up like He-Man or Transformers Animated.

I've seen some question if the other Mutants will be in this at some point. Here is a quote from an IGN article but I will put it in spoilers just in case:

As for you know who getting tech. Well my money is on
    the Berbils

If Silverhawks got this kind of writing and animation? Why not? A galactic team of superpowered police officers? It's a good concept. It worked for Star Wars and Green Lantern :p  The toyline could work the same way Iron Man does, upgraded armors and weapons from season to season. That way Bandai really has new toys, that aren't just nonsensical (like the end of the He-Man line) and are profitable enough to justify a show.

This show, if you will pardon the miserable pun, is the Cat's Pajamas. The animation is gorgeous, the characters are really interesting and the way they've turned the story upside down (with the Reptiles/Mutants being an oppressed slave race and the ThunderCats a conquering empire) makes it greatly engaging.

So in this humble poster's opinion, THUNDERCATS, HOOOO!

Only problem I had with Silverhawks was the whole breathing in space thing. Sure the 'Hawks had masks but NOBODY ELSE did!

(what was that chick with the Key-tar weapon? Yeah, her standing in a convertable car in outerspace, total suspension of disbelief killer.)

Hoping to see Berbils and Amazons! :popcorn

And find out Tygra's a jerk because he's got a silky fix. :lolol

The new Thundercats is looking great! Top quality animation and a well thought-out setup. I got a LOTR-feel from the first couple of eps. with the myth/magic, medieval-style and invasion of Thundera. Lion-O going out into the market in a cloak reminded me of Jasmine escaping the palace in disguise as a commoner from Disney's Aladdin. The fish-like pirates from the 3rd ep made me think of POTC. And the Petalars and wood settings in ep. 4 made me think of the Elves and their Lothlorien forest realm from LOTR too.

Batman Beyond as Lion-O is awesome!

Tygra being Lion-O's older brother is a great way to connect the two characters together and build some rivalry between them.

Cheetara being a cleric warrior is a good explanation for her super speed and any other powers or abilities she may possess.

Really liked the idea of the Petalars having such short lifespans. Emrick was a memorable one ep. character!
