At this point I want an original female character to catch Lion-O's attention. One who I'll like better than Cheetara.

 

Well, that and Grune and Panthro talking about killing each other in no uncertain terms. I think the writers just realized the audience was going to be older and have embraced it.

You know, like Panthro having both arms severed and showing us the stumps? Not for small kids, that's for sure.

Grune in the astral plane? I smell ghost! Just like in the original show.

I'm with the others who say "berbil robot arms will be awesome". I mean, it was stunningly obvious.

Nice to see Tygra getting one in the win column, but they still haven't explained the damn rules of succession! Seriously. Bugs me.

That all being said, I am, unfortunately, sensing a little villain decay here. The lizards bring the whole damn army and don't make a decent showing at all, and so far, every single fight Mumm-Ra has had against Lion-O has resulted in a hearty "HOOOOOOOOO!" and Mumm-Ra getting zorched up something fierce. He's not coming off as a terrible threat lately. Now that Lion-O has the ability to create Leo's Awesome Space Armour, it seems even less likely Mumm-Ra could give him a good battle.

I kinda wish to see the writers telling what´s going on with the Thundercats population. Like I doubt Mum-Ra genocided the entire population of Thundera. I assume they are being enslaved and living in the slums or something. An explanation would be nice. Maybe the group meeting with some refugees.

 

I'm hoping Grune will come back with Panthro's arms chained together like a pair of nunchucks.

 

I can see it now. Pumyra puts the moves on Lion-o and then Pumyra says nah, she's in love with Bengali. the Tigers get all the girls. Maybe when Kit grows up.

 

He'll get more troops like Vutures and Jackals and find a stone himself. My guess is the closer we get to the end of the season the more active we will see him. Plus he has a hidden spaceship full of goodies he hasn't used yet. Right now I think he just keeps underestimating them. The first time the sun came out and surprised him, the second he was winning and Jaga sacrficed himself, the third time he was in the astral plane and lion-o got a new jem. He really hasn't faced them that often, they mostly have been fighting Grune and the Lizards.

 

If you're not a lion you can't be king. They have explained it and it's very simple.

 

I saw it more as a bloodline thing, but that makes sense also.

 

I also wish he wouldn't come back as a ghost, it's kind of stupid to me. I could definately see Pumyra coming in at some point.

 

That's what I said. The Lions are all one family in this show.

 

I'm expecting something like that as well. The first season seems to be giving more to the Thundercats to help them even the odds with Mumm Ra's forces i.e. giving Lion O the sword, the gems, and getting them technology like the Thundertank. How else could they even start to be a credible threat to Mumm-Ra's forces and technology, a small force of which almost destroyed them in episode 4 if it weren't for Panthro's arrival. I really expect the writers to make them more of underdogs again in the next season, until such a point where they will again rise to the occasion. Anyone expecting an explanation for the round orbs on the Thundercats' suits, and why it hasn't flashed the Thundercat insignia when Lion O gives the Thundercats Ho battlecry? I expect that to be a story point in the future.

Earlier in this thread, it was mentioned that Tygra is suppose to be adopted, according to the writers. However, that probably wouldn't matter unless it was stated in the actual show I guess.

 

Knowing the writers, they'll probably bring it up in a flashback soon. Their flashbacks have been very interesting and informative so far. I especially liked the Panthro/Grune ones  

 

I want a Mumm Ra Origin story. Dude has never had a proper one.

 

It was stated, I believe in the 1st or second episode that tygra is adopted.

 

Me, too. But save it for later. Have it be some big revelation.
