UGH!!!! I want to see this movie so bad,but I didn't have any time today, and tomorrow is all filled up also.Hopefully I can sneak out for a couple of hours and catch a matinee this week.
I've been a Thor fan for a loooong time and I have to say this movie was pretty close to what I expected it to be. It wasn't perfect, I thought the fight scenes were a bit too short and I missed a character but other than that it was a solid film!
So Shield had a dirty secret, they were looking for the "cosmetic cube" so that whoever shall possess it will become the most powerful "beautician in the universe"
saw this tonight and i liked it a lot! there were some things i think coulda been done different i think Thor's retribution was a bit quick and in turn maybe a little forced but i understand the length of time they were trying to cover all in all, it was pretty sweet! i was always hesitant at seeing how well fight scenes with a hammer would be handled [aka not hokey] but DANG. Thor is hardcore! oh and i just LOOOOOVED all the sound effects in this movie!!! it was awesome! all the hammer sounds, odin's staff, the bifrost bridge, all of that. sounded SWEET I felt like I was waiting for Iron Man to show up in a few scenes there. They've sold the whole "everything exists in the same universe" thing really well! My anticipation for Avengers has really grown *smashes computer on the floor* i like it! give me more! xD
Gave it a rewatch with my brother yesterday and enjoyed it just as much. One of my favorite things about this movie is trying to figure out Loki's actions, and which ones are deliberate thought out lies, trickery done on improv, or genuine surprise and reaction. So happy with the Tom Hiddleston being cast for that role.
Well I just got back from seeing it. Overall I really liked it. 8/10. But I don't see why people are saying it's the best Marvel movie yet. I liked it, but not that much.. Also, I just noticed they made a typo on the tickets. It says Thor D3 instead of 3D.
It seems for a few people (myself included) that low to average expectations are really helping people to enjoy the actual movie they end up seeing. As Kickback said, I went in thinking it might be an ok waste of 2 hours but it ended up just hitting me with the awesome stick! Who knows how I might have viewed it if I had been a hardcore Thor fan beforehand..?
Fucking excellent movie. This is pretty much my grading for Marvel movies so far. Iron Man - A+ The Incredible Hulk - B Iron Man 2 - B- Thor - A+ I really loved this one. DVD now plz.
Oooh, controversial. I though Iron Man 2 held up brilliantly, if not better than the first. Agree that Hulk is weaker than Thor though.
I like Iron Man 2, but I do agree that at times it appears to be nothing more than a big advertisement for the Avengers. Overall I thought it was good though.
Solid, solid movie. I didn't know much about Thor's backstory, but found all the motivations to be believable. Kinda messed up that Odin took Loki as a political trophy to be used later on. I found the relations between the family members to be most interesting. I kind of dig that these superhero movies are more about character and less about pure action, and managed to like this even with the lack of money action scenes. Extremely satisfying, and I look forward to the rest of this great summer movie season!
Loved the film! the story was pretty well done, it flowed well, I liked the dialog. However... that 3D was brutal! I think it was even worse since the screen I happened to see it on was out of focus and WAY too dark brightness wise. It was over way too fast though, I seriously was sitting there in the end wanting way more. I also know I can't wait for the day, whenever it may be for the inevitable massive Avengers movie marathons, Ironman1 through whatever it ends on.
Just got back from seeing it a lil bit ago. 1 word... EPIC! I absolutely loved it. Oh, Spoiler I love how they had Hawkeye looking over the weapons and just seem to go "f*ck these guns, I want the bow!" Can't wait to see how he plays out later. See, I think 2 held up decent to the first. In fact, for a little, I almost was evening them out. Now, the first one is winning my vote, as you get more into the technology of Stark building his suit. I actually have been slacking on Incredible Hulk. Watching it on DVD as we speak. At this point, I can't wait for Capt, and I can't wait for Avengers!
