Cool I guess. Sounds like a hybrid of Ultimate Spider-man and Batman:The BRave and the Bold.

Well the Ultimate Teamup books were similar to what's being suggested but parker was never much of a "hotshot" so "ultimate" in name and costume only?

    NOOOOOO!

I want Season 3 of Spectacular Spiderman.

How dare they have another Spidey show when an awesome one is still in hiatus?!

Besides, Marvel. You already have two Team up shows: Superhero Squad and the upcoming Avengers series. Why have a third one?

I'm hoping this is just a rebranding of Spectacular, just with a bigger scope now that a lot of the licensing rights are unified under Disney.

    But it probably won't be :( .

I dont know, brave and the bold seems to be doing just fine.

Also people need to understand that Sony was doing SSM the new one is being done by Marvel animation, so it probably just marvel wanting more control of all its series.

Just hire Greg Weisman. You can call it someting else, but hire him, he's proven he can do spiderman competently appeal to multiple age groups.

If they are doing Ultimate Spidey, they should try the anime approach, animate the actual comic!

Aren't Ultimate and Regular Spider-Man's costumes pretty much identical?

Hell no. That crap is part of what's wrong with the anime industry. The last thing we need is Spiderman suffering from a case of DBZ syndrome.

Very few Marvel superhero series in the past few years have gotten past two seasons and most seasons are 12 episodes these days, Ultimate Spidey is well into the 100's, it's unlikely they will get that far. So they would be unlikely to run out of episodes. If they got that far I'd be amazed.

    Wholeheartedly agree

Yes I had the enemies and team ups in mind when I made the costume comment as in the Ultimate, Ozbourne, Blade and X-Men looks.

DBZ syndrome is just filler, chances are this series will end before it hits 60 episodes with over 100 issues to work with each around 2x as many pages as a manga chapter there is no way filler would be needed if marvel studios adapts faithfully.

i really enjoyed the original Ultimate Spider-Man title (actually was the best SM title at the time)...so if its really close to that, i'd watch this.

I loved the video game, and I still have the first issue of the comic. :D  Can't wait to see this. Sucks about Spectacular Spider-Man though.
