And Bradley Cooper would have been an even better choice than Fillion and Reynolds. But I think it's time we let those ships sail.

I looked up Mark Strong after he was announced as Sinestro. I was amazed at how many movies he was in, and I don't remember a single of his characters. He is entirely forgettable IMO and Sinestro is not a character that you forget. I really hope he can pull it off.

And Reynolds is pretty much an one-note actor. He pulled off a fairly serious role pretty well in The Nines, but I'm fully expecting him to play Hal the exact same way he played Hannibal King, which was the exact same way he played Deadpool.

Remember Amityville, too. He did a great job in that, I thought.

    Hmm, we shall see... ;)
Not a really GL fan, and know almost next to nothing in terms of back-story and history, but any superhero franchise that i actually "recognize" ish-- is bound to draw some sort of attention to me.. :D

Oh, maybe just a little "off-topic", guys-- but just wondering what ever happened to the so-called "planned" big screen version of "JLA"?

JLA drowned in the retention pond of development hell, alongside Wonder Woman, as well as (apparently) Flash and the next Superman picture.

superman films is int eh works with christopher nolan as mentor or overlooker for the project as well as working on batman 3 (supposedly 'his' last).

for JLA they might have to take a page from marvel and plan ahead like they have for the avengers, the the universes intermingle

Considering Angela Bassett is Amanda Waller in this movie, they might be putting a Nick Fury-like character in the movie and doing just that.

Given that the suit is a construct of the ring, it makes sense to me.

Still not convinced that Ryan Reynolds was the right choice.

Plus they're gonna have to have some CGI on the suit to give him the green aura anyways, so why not? I was pretty impressed with the way Doc Manhattan turned out, so I think it can be done.

Not an expert on GL but can't he make he suit do certain things too? Kinda makes sense. Though I bet that there will be costumes made for certain scenes like set pictures we see of RDJ in partial Iron Man armor.

Just hope it doesn't look too CGI like Comm Cody does in Eposode III when his helmet is off.

Not really, no. He uses his ring to make armor constructs and recently it's been revealed that the Green color parts of his uniform are warm to the touch and the black color parts of his uniform cold to his touch.

Other than that, it's just a costume generated by his ring.
