I would like to see The Darkseid War in season 5 as the setup for The LOSH spinoff.

The final battle was a bit too short, but it was a satisfactory conclusion. I liked the reunions and how not all wounds were so easily healed, which was realistic. Agreed with Canary in that really, heroes need more than one therapist, for sure. Not many regular people experience their friends dying or being lost between dimensions on a regular basis.
So guessing while the future will happen, it won't happen how it did for the Legionaries who came back from it, since things changed a lot. Maybe this works so that they returned to their own, different timeline. Was nice to see Brainiac 5 after so long.
Also did not expect to see Ursa of all people to remain free and with the Eye, no less. Was it ever explained what the eye was? I remember some 52 or Countdown spinoff showed that Ekron was some giant robotic being and supposedly a Green Lantern, but clearly this thing has more powers than an ancient Lantern battery+ring.
Huh so this means the Durlans are descended from the White Martians? I recall vaguely that may have been so in the comics too, or they were created by the Dominion?

Did not expect THAT ending for
Lor-Zod. What irony, undone by his own meddling by the kryptonite bomb he planted, and yeah he was vaporized even!
You do not mess with Metron... or his collection and experiments. He holds a grudge.

The wedding was so sweet. Everyone who's anyone was there, even Wolf! I laughed when I saw they even got Icicle Junior out of prison to attend. But who was the guy next to him and Mal who did not know his friends are superheroes?
I do hope however that Conner does not keep that haircut. I prefer his regular hair.

That post-credits ending... wow. So they are doing the
Batman and Superman comics version of Kara's origins, except she never even landed on Earth, but gets straight up trained by Granny Goodness? That'll be interesting, seeing if Clark can reach her despite never knowing her.
And while the Black Mary story will no doubt be far better handled here than in the comics where she just gets her powers by a disillusioned Black Adam and turns into some torture-obsessed goth, I do wish we could have seen what events prompted Billy to take away her powers.

Yeah, a good idea! I am sad LOSH the show was cut short. Btw, this just made me decide to rewatch it, I have had the BR for a while now.

After missing for 2 seasons I feel it is time for Wally to come back, we all know he is not dead or lost forever in the Speed Force.
And seconded, would be nice if we got a spinoff Legion of Superheroes show. Since they went back to a likely changed future, it could be set separately from Young Justice with its own continuity, given how far in the future it takes place. Of course, with the occasional time-traveling visitor like Supergirl or Superboy, who traditionally work with the Legion on occasion.

I like that despite all they did, Clark still gave the Zods a second chance, and even after their defeat he had plans to rehabilitate them. It could work on some of them, I feel... pity the Light beat them to it. I guess Klarion could indeed go to the Phantom Zone anytime he wanted!

Fantastic season finale! Really hoping we get another season, but they really need to stop leaving huge cliffhangers when they don't know if they're gonna get renewed or not.

And definitely agree with those that would like to see Wally come back, especially since he really didn't die, he just faded and disappeared.

I suspect if we every do see an "ending" ending, it will be a "and the adventure continues" type. Open ended enough to allow new stories to potentially be told within this universe, but wrapping up the main plot that has been driving the series from the beginning. Whenever the series does end, it needs to be with the defeat of the Light and Darkseid. Regardless of whatever else is going on in this universe, Savage and Darkseid have been the driving force behind the scenes all this time, so they both need to be defeated to properly wrap up the plot.

Even Justice League Unlimited ended this way, with the apparent final defeat of the DCAU Darkseid and the end of the Secret Society of Supervillains, but making it clear that their world still needs its heroes and has stories to tell.

Those types of finales are the perfect kind in my opinion. I want the universe to be able to carry on, but I want the major plot lines wrapped up so we're not left with a massive cliffhanger

God, I hope we get another season. Especially after THAT cliffhanger.

It doesn’t seem like she’s been trained by Granny or at least not for a long time. Previous dialogue with Vandal shows they just recently turned Kara over, and the scene with Darkseid also says they’re new recruits. I do wonder about Kara though as the dislogue mentions she’s also been stuck in the zone for decades, and its not clear if she was part of Zods group or not (though I doubt she was) or if she was a recent retrieval or someone the Light plucked out earlier from the zone.

There were major plot threads leading to the potential story lines going forward, And while I would love to see a Darkseid war story too, I would rather slow burn that for a possible sixth season, and either focus on Durla and M'Gann's brother OR that one line said by Black Canary about Sanctuary, as I enjoyed the mini series about from a few years ago.

They need to start paying off the big cliffhangers, there's no confirmation that there's going to be a season 5, let alone a season 6. I hope that if 5 gets greenlit that they start giving some payoff to the underlying story that they've been teasing for 4 seasons now (the Light and Darkseid).

Yeah, even Lex and Darkseid were not killed off there - when Batman asks Superman just knowingly says how they have come back before, they will be back again likely. :D
I think in this show the final conflict will be between Darkseid and Savage. Remember their first meeting and how this alliance is not forever - Darkseid was intrigued by someone who might challenge him someday, and he let Earth develop under Savage's hand. Given that he already once stymied Darkseid's quest for the Anti-Life Equation, he will fight him in the end, for sure.

No, they say she has been alone so she was not with the Zods. But knowing Granny's methods, those will leave some mental scars...

Didn't the show come back from the dead after a long hiatus due to a signature collection or kickstarter? They can easily do that again.

If I'm not mistaken it was largely due to streaming numbers and Weisman wanting to continue the series.

Yeah, it became really popular when the first two seasons came out on Netflix and both Weisman and WB took notice. There were also a lot of vocal fans online at that point asking for a continuation. No petitions or anything like that but just people asking wherever and whenever they could that would get WB's attention.

This a pretty strong finale, aside from the horrendous exposition trade-off with Nightwing and Miss Martian. Other than that, I loved everything else.
I especially loved the wedding (which is telling, since I always hated the Superboy/Miss Martian relationship) and Lor-Zod's time loop fate. And of course Vandal Savage makes the best out of a bad situation by capturing all the prisoners but Ursa and Lor.

Also, a reminder that the new comic Young Justice: Targets is out now on the DC Universe Infinite app. It takes place a couple of months after season 4 .

Huh, my mistake then. I thought there was a petition.
Maybe we should do one for Green Lantern TAS, though, if DC seems to listen.

Finally watched the season finale. It felt a bit rushed, but overall very good. I was legit concerned for some characters for a bit. Miss Martian kicked some serious ass. I really hope there will be a season 5, and fully agree they need to start wrapping up some plot threads that have been going through all the seasons.
