I dont really mind that they depowered ol'zilla for the american film, I dont think they should have but what ever. I dislike the film because the human character, who they choose to put a large focus on, were annoying.
That I sorta agree with. Nick Titsoplenty was kinda useless, and I hate that blonde chick. But then again, the other Godzilla movies have had far, far worse human cast. Basically what I'm trying to say, is it's okay to like/dislike either, but don't call the '98 film pure shit and hold the others in such super-high esteem, since they both share the campiness, cheesiness and genuinely awful moments.
True, by no means did I ever say that the J-films were amazing works of film. I like the majority of them but they still have their flaws. I can however look over said flaws when "HOLY SHIT DID YOU SEE GODZILLA PUNCH THROW THAT BITCH INTO A VOLCANO THEN DO A DANCE?!! FUCKING AWESOME!" Something that was missing from the American film.
But that's just because Godzilla didn't have anyone to fight besides the military. And it's not like Godzilla's never been solo. In the '85 movie they killed him by shooting into his mouth with regular missiles. I remember that cool part of '98 Godzilla was the first fight against the helicopters. He goes from being chased, to chasing after them like a dog chasing bugs.
Well Elephants and Rhinos have thick hide. Thick enough that they made special large calibur rounds to kill them.
Yes, but you'll notice you don't need a 120mm tank gun to kill an elephant. They can still be killed with something a man can fire (carefully).
Yeah, nothing is more dangerous than a wounded animal. But on topic I like the script, hopefully some tweaks here or there and well lets see what Legendary Pictures does, if not well thats cool with me.
