Yeah, it had gotten formulaic and somewhat stale. But the characters still amuse me, so it'll make a pleasant diversion, at least. |

There's a huge change in the pacing due to the lack of filler...oddly enough, a couple times it's been for the worse. Two characters kick the bucket in the first few episodes and their deaths felt very non-dramatic.
I can't think of anything else to say so far. I'll probably have a more in-depth impression to post as the series progresses.  Quote:

but yes the 2 deaths seemed very abrupt and rushed |

I really feel like they're packing a whole ton of events in fo few episodes. The episode where Inuyasha obtained the diamond Tetsusaiga wasn't that far from the final episode, and then he obtained the dragon-scaled Tetsusaiga in the fourth episode of the final act! And the black Tetsusaiga is depicted in the opening credits.... -_-
