Just saw this movie. Feel compelled to comment.

I appreciate what the movie tried to do and what it represents as a medium.

But it jumped the shark way too soon. It was supposed to defy cliche's, but nothing these people do is anything close to what a real person would do.

The moment I rolled my eye was when the ouija board catches fire and the plants animated. That's just WAY too much 'evidence' thrown at the audience at one time. Plus, it burnt a pentacle into the board. Is the ghost Pagan? Any person with any knowledge at all knows that the pentacle symbol isn't satanic in nature and there's no reason a 'demon' should be burning it into objects. Was the entity raised catholic?

Also the fact that they NEVER try to escape the house. I don't care about what one psychic said to you about it following you. Go to a PUBLIC PLACE like Wal-mart or something. I doubt it will manifest while people are grocery shopping.

I was also put off by their sleep habits. It's bad enough that they always return to sleep in the same room, but worse than they always manage to fall asleep in the first place.

Can we have a mockumentary movie that doesn't feature a douchebag who never puts down his camera? Why is he filming his daily activities? that isn't where the ghosts are. Why are you filming yourself revewing the film? Its already on film! You don't need to create a second-hand quality version of shit you already recorded.

I love how Kate snaps at him 20 some days in when any normal person would have in about 14 minutes. Kate has awesome legs, though. That's a plus.

It was silly for Kate to duck and hide in the attic-access room when that room is always where the ghost shit goes on in their video tapes. I also hate how she always sits up in bed when the human survival instinct is to lay low and hide to keep your head out of view.

So why is that any small noise wakes these two, but Micah always sleeps through Kate's sleepwalking?

And its great that cool dude Micah is the only one who found 'leaked footage' concerning the urban legend involving the possessed girl biting off her own arm. That sure helped him! That footage was also hilariously awful. Like a "Scary Movie" parody of The Exorcist. Maybe next he'll find footage on the internet of a woman's baby drowning on a bridge at night. Or a schoolbus getting stuck on some tracks in Texas.

These are also the most horribly predictable ghosts. Seems like ANYTHING they used to detect the ghost yeilded perfect evidence. They should just open this guy a facebook.

And the original ending is actually good. Speilburg's goofy ending sucked and was an obvious anti-Blairwitch statement.

Continuing on the viral marketing campaign, you can now submit your name to be included in the "thank you" credits of the movie when it's released on DVD/Blu-Ray. It's their way of showing appreciation for voting the movie into theaters and making it a success.

EDIT: You can only do this until 11/9 at noon PST.

Forget to put my thoughts on the movie in here when I saw it last week.

Definetely a well crafted, spooky film. Not worthy of the "Scariest Film Ever" praises nor the backlash it was recieving for the aformetioned title given by some people.

This movie wasn't scary at all. I was actually disappointed. I like the movie in general but I was really hoping for the type of scary movie that would make it hard to sleep at night.
Marks for Rowdy Roddy Piper.
