I'll up load the pictures in a few minutes. I just got the box set and I think this is a bit cooler than even the TF G1 box set! The box is a small foot locker.. I is like a thick card board trunk. Metal along the edges holding it together. I thought it would be a cardboard box that the lid slides off of. Nope. It has metal hinge top that opens up. When you open up it looks like a control panel communication device! That is awesome! You lift that and on the back are the DVD boxes. Each box opens like a book with a DVD per page. on the bottom of the case are the USB drive and booklet and below the book are the tattoos. The TF matrix set is great but the packaging of this is even more awesome! I'll upload the pictures and have them up in a few minutes... If you like this series this DVD set kicks ass!!
This is easily the coolest packaging ever!! I expected the metal to just be painted on normal DVD box packaging and the top to slide off. I also saw the GI Joe logo on the lid before I opened it and thought it was just part of the lid, then I open and see the control panel and let out a big laugh. All the disks feature pictures from Joe or Cobra file cards! Same in the booklet. I just opened to Shipwreck because he is my fave... and wanted to make a certain poster here happy...
Also found out there is an extra empty disk slot at the back of the second part for you to put the movie in. Nice!
I need this but need to find a local store with it in stock. Every time i order DVDs by mail they arrive damaged.
i just need some clarification,so the tf's matrix boxset isn't out in stores yet even though some people already have it right? is this joe boxset out in stores now or no?
It is not sold in stores yet. Neither one is.. You order them from Shout's website.. That is the only way to currently get them.. $140 for TF, $145 for Joe The shipping is free. Even the 2 day rush is free. Now that I have both sets I can sell off the Rhino versions on Monday..
Tempted to sell my Rhino Joe discs when I get this, but I'm such a nerd, I may keep them for the bonus features and the cels.
The Voice Actor round table is basically the same as the Transformer one but Welker is replaced by BJ Ward (Scarlett). I found the Transformer one to be a lot more fun because they made it sound like everyone was a practical joker. This seemed a little more serious. Michael Bell's normal voice is Dukes. When I watched the TF round table I kept trying to picture his voice in commercials and such and couldn't place it. But I realized it is just duke's voice from Joe I realized that is it...
have you seen those episodes? Frankly they are better off NOT using them. They suck major ass.... It is the Armada/Energon of the GI Joe world. The Sunbow is Animated or Beast Wars compared to the crap of the DIC years..

I also wish for a DIC release. The episodes were so bad that they were really funny to me and it is nice to see the toys in action.
So awesome. I really want both TF and Joe sets. But so much money...I can't afford right now. Yeah, same here. They were laughable....that's their charm.
