The commercials didn't leave me confident with this. I loved the first one, the second wasn't bad, per-se, but between that and the over-the top "LOOK WE'RE FUNNY LOOK AT THE FUNNY IT'S FUNNY C'MON WE'RE FUNNY!!" tone of the commercials means I'll wait to rent it.

Really? Hmm. The second one was indeed aweful. But I probably won't end up seeing this in theaters. Gonna wait for the DVD.

I do like the line in the commercial..

"The wind is talking.."
"What's it saying?"
"I don't know. I don't speak wind.."

I have not seen the 1st on or the 2nd one, but I took the kids yesterday and it was terrible, even for a kids movie.

Sure there were some funny moments, but nothing that you havn`t seen on the commercials.

Fox is funny for marketing. For example, with DBE, they showed the climax to the final showdown in the TV Spots.

This movie is ok I suppose, but honestly don't pay money for it. The 3D effects aren't even worth it and for god's sake Fox stop taking the Scrat scenes from the trailer and putting them in as part of the movie. I mean we've seen the entire opening of this film featuring Scrat and that new girl squirrel since the very first teaser trailer. It wasn't funny then and it sure as hell isn't funny when you have to wait five to fifteen minutes seeing something you've seen fifty times over in front of every other film during the trailers that you've seen since last year before we get into the actual story with the title characters of this movie.

To me this was a watch it and forget it movie, I can't even begin to tell you what happens from scene to scene or why it happens, and the humor just isn't funny. Seriously Fox should have let this franchise die after the first movie, I guess it's just because I don't get the whole Ray Romano comedy/popularity type thing. It was the same reason why I can't stand Bee Movie, Jerry Seinfeld should have just stuck to his television show because that movie SUCKS, I mean it is basically Seinfeld with Bees instead of People, random scenes that make no sense and then... Oh look the bees win their case and the world starts to suffer. *Shakes Head*

Anyway, as for Ice Age 3, it definitely can't hold a candle to Kung Fu Panda or other animated films like anything Pixar does.

Couldn't they just name it 'Another 90 Minutes of Animals Trying to be Funny, With More Sight Gags About a Squirrel and His Nut.'

Save everyone the trouble of having to sit through it.
