Don't Breathe - Except for one specific moment in the last act, this was a pretty enjoyable movie. It had some really good suspenseful moments and Lang's acting was down right phenomenal. Unfortunately, none of the characters are good people, so everything that happened to each and every one of them is justified and they all got what they deserved. There is one scene that is truly outstanding which is when the blind man shuts the power off in his house. The way they filmed that scene was pretty damn awesome thanks to the styled it was filmed in. It's kind of amazing how many great horror movies we have had this year, and yet, nobody felt the need to save them until October. Instead, we are left with garbage like another Ouija movie (how the hell did that crap get a sequel??) and a Blair Witch remake (Seriously? WTF?!). Anyway, I give Don't breathe a solid 7/10 because as enjoyable as it was, it's not a movie that really has any replay value and that really awkward bit towards the end does ruin it quite a bit.

^^the new Blair Witch movie isn't a remake. It's a sequel to the original movie with one of the characters being related to one of the characters from the original.

I wouldn't say anyone really deserved
getting semen turkey basted into them
. That's a bit much. Unless it happens to the one trying to do that. Then sure.

Making over 100 million worldwide based on a budget of 5 mil will do that.

The first film wasn't good in the slightest, but having the guys that made Oculus having a hand in the prequel could make it at least somewhat decent.

the ouija board movie looks like a fantastic comedy.

    the mechanic 2; resurrection;
also known as; Statham needs more booze.

so, this movie is basically Statham playing Hit-Man, on easy mode, with cheats enabled.

a movie like this exactly why i keep saying, statham should just play agent 47. not because he's bald, like other people have said was the reason why i think he should play the character. no, it is because he's played the character basically in every film he has ever been in.

the film isn't terrible. it isn't great. but it is somewhere in the middle.

Tommy Lee Jones is a lot of fun though. for the 5 minutes of screentime he got.

some of which, may have just been a double. lol

anyways, 6 out of 10. not a great film. but not a bad one. it is worth seeing. it is certainly better than the hitman 47 film of last year. lol

But she didn't get that happen to her. However, the torture she got was her own fault and serves her right.

How the hell did it make that much money? It bombed.

I though Oculus was boring, so this means nothing to me.

I know, but it seemed to be pretty much a remake, just with new characters. All of the jump scares were like the same ones from the original.

BTW, the rest of the trailers we got that I didn't mention were just as bad. There was one about two black women fighting over a guy. Oh, and a new Morgan trailer that made the movie look like it was going to be a horror movie, completely misleading. I want to see THAT movie!! Snowden, which I'm tired of seeing.

    I'm talking about
    the OTHER girl
    .

Came out close to Halloween. Was PG-13 so easily scared teens could go see it. Factors like that can lead to success.

As for "bombing," it certainly bombed on a critical level. Financially, it made ten times its budget back on domestic alone.

While not bad, I liked the prince of Egypt better.

Ashens and the quest for the game child

    7/10

while not perfect there were quite a few scenes that did make me laugh.

I like this film too, I feel it could have been better if there was more of a budget.

Star Trek VI the undiscovered country.
I've forgotten how enjoyable this film was, although I did find Kim Cattrall grating.
So glad they went out on this one rather than final frontier.

    Alone in the Dark
No, this is not the 2005 Uwe Bollcrap adaptation of the video game, this is a 1982 slasher movie by Jack Sholder with Dwight Schultz, Donald Pleasence, Jack Palance, and Martin Landau. The story is about Dr. Potter (Schultz) who replaces Dr. Merton; one of Dr. Bain's (Pleasence) doctors in his psychiatric haven. Some of the patients, who really liked Dr. Merton, come to conclusion that Potter has killed him and now he is going to kill them.

So in short, it's a movie about one man against a pack of mental psychos, and all chaos breaks out.

It was good for what it was

Best movie of the year so far. Narrative perfection honestly. Ben Foster and Jeff Bridges were awesome too.

Awesome movie, easily the best animated film I've seen this year. Great voice performances, amazing animation, awesome designs, just an overall gem of a movie.

The Nice Guys 8/10. Out of the Shane Black movies he directed I think this is my 2nd favorite. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is still my favorite of the 3. Like all his movies it's hilarious and clever. Part of the movie felt to long and that is really my only negative.
