Do not get me started on that worthless piece of utter shit stain that decided to take one of the best DC characters ever and turn him into something that is not even remotely close to being a bounty hunter. Jonah Hex does NOT talk to the dead. Jonah Hex does NOT have any super powers. THe movie had no plot, the garbage can beating called music was so loud you could not hear anything being spoken. The make up was done by a 3 year old. It makes Batman & Robin look like The Dark Knight. In fact I would rather watch Batman & Robin 5 times in a row before I ever watch that waste of celluloid again. Whomever wrote and directed that movie should be hung on five accounts of murder because they murdered the entire western genre with their disdainful foul and proved that DC has no idea how to make a movie outside of Batman. All they had to do was copy one of the four billion western movies out there, but have it with Jonah Hex in it and it would have been a great movie. Instead, they make up their own stank with the biggest skanks around and called it a movie. This movie is so bad I wouldn't even make pedophiles suffer through the rigorous torture of watching this putrid puss bucket of piss.

    Zero Dark Thirty: 9/10

Jessica Chastain is second best only to Jennifer Lawrence right now in Hollywood. And Bigelow has surpassed Cameron by a mile too.

Days of Being Wild (A Fei Jing Juen) - 10/10

    A masterpiece.
Days of Being Wild focuses on how love, unrequited love, rejection, loneliness, self-identity, time, and bad choices affects people in how they live their life.

I find myself empathic with the two main male leads; York (played by the late Leslie Cheung) and Tide (Andy Lau).
Li Zhen (Maggie Cheung), one of many of York's previous conquests, tries to get over York dumping her and by chance meets the caring policeman Tide, who grows sympathic to her and acts as her confidant to help her move on; I have been in his shoes twice in my life. York, I have somewhat done the same; romancing all the girls I met in life with great intensity and leaving them abruptly, although not in horrible breakups.

A lot of memorable lines are said that resonates with me, the top one being what York says to Li Zhen while constantly wooing her in the beginning, "16th... April the 16th. At one minute before 3pm on April the 16th, 1960, you're together with me. Because of you, I'll remember that one minute. From now on, we're friends for one minute. This is a fact, you can't deny. It's done".

The music and cinematography for DoBW is absolutely stunning. From the slow moving view of York walking out of the Philippine jungle while avoiding his mother's gaze from behind while Los Indios Tabajaras' Always In My Heart is playing to the dark, desolate corner below the bridge where Tide is lost in his thoughts as he waits every night for Li Zhen to call him in front of a dimly lit phone booth that they promised to talk in with Xavier Cugat's Perfida playing in the background.
The music and camera work compliment each other so very well that it constantly generates a very emotional mood for each scene that it evokes me to tear up a bit as the scenes slowly unfolds.
The music selection is truly magnificient; we have Los Indios Tabajaras' Always In My Heart, to Xavier Cugat's Perfidia, Siboney, My Shawl, Maria Elena, and Jungle Drums that plays throughout the film that really drives the mood of every scene.

That ending..... wow. Its such a WTF ending as it has no point whatsoever to the main story and so out of the blue, but its done so very artistically that its easily the best scene that defines the whole movie. A new character is introduced: Tony Leung is shown in his really crampy cubicle apartment room smoking while doing his nails, putting on his jacket, loading up his cigarettes and cash, and combing his hair all to the tune of Xavier Cugat's Jungle Drums playing in the background; basically he's ready to go out pimping.
This scene could be interpreted in a number of ways, but I think a YouTube commentator said it best: "Yes, it's a set up for a sequel, but on top of that, it gives the overall message. We can't get trapped in our own self pitty and depression over our failures, break ups, and love that never happened. We can't stay condensed in our own heads, hence why the ceiling is so small that he can't even stand up right. We need to go out, because it's a big world, way too big to be stuck in our own heads. Tony Leung is the representation that we need to move on in our lives, and experience the world."

I truthfully thought the film was a tad dry for the most part, but that final raid on the compound: utter brilliance. One of the most tension filled gun fights (such as it was) I've had the pleasure of seeing on screen.

What is Bigelow's next project anyway?

I checked that while watching actually, and as far as I could find she hasn't announced yet.

    Silver Linings Playbook: 9/10

Ya know, I've followed Jennifer Lawrence from when she started on the Bill Engvall Show, which was absolutely awful, to her career now, and it's something to behold how far she's truly come. She's really the only person in Hollywood I've ever followed for an entire career, and will most certainly continue to do so.

    Serenity - 10/10

Outside of one of the driving forces of the movie relying on some serious questionable logic, and the intro being confusing as all hell with the scene jumping, this would have made an excellent pilot for a TV series. Too bad it's actually the last of Firefly.

It's actually kind of funny, y'know, since originally the film didn't even have that scene. The ending was completely different since they hadn't caught Osama, but wouldn't you know it; during filming Seal Team 6 ACTUALLY killed the bastard and made the movie suddenly a 'what if' scenario at the time.

I have the same thing with Emma Stone. When I first saw her in Superbad, I thought that she was funny and highly attractive. I had a feeling she would have a good career especially after she was in Zombieland and The Help.

You know, I just can't bring myself to watch Playbook. I know it (and Fighter, which I have not seen) are from the same guy who did American Hustle, but I just cannot bring myself to have an interest in it.

Completely over the top, and I like it. Deducted one point for DiCola's cheesy as hell score.

Silver Linings Playbook is my favourite movie. I enjoyed it more than American Hustle, but I need to see Hustle again anyway, so that might change. Check out The Fighter too if you haven't, if only for Christian Bale. One of the best performances I've seen.

It's kind of a chick flick, I do not deny, but the performances are fantastic, and it does give an interesting look at bipolar disorder. I liked The Fighter, but it was nowhere near as good as Playbook or Hustle.

Honestly, I had zero interest in Mozart or his music before seeing this movie, but now I'm absolutely obsessed with him and his music. It is indeed one of the greatest movies ever made!

This movie isn't holding up well to me and I don't know why. The lack of a Bond girl bugs me quite a bit, but I can't think of another reason why I don't like it as much as I did a year ago. Casino Royale has held up much better for me.

Believe me, it was A LOT better than AMERICAN HUSTLE. And I mean A LOT better. Hell, it's not even the kind of movie I'd be into, and SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK was a fun movie that I enjoy every time I watch it.

    Walking with Dinosaurs - 3/10.

I was so disappointed. Amazing visuals and horrendous everything else.

The characters joke about a pterosaur getting eaten while they watch. They're cracking jokes the day after their entire family is killed. They apparently know about humans and that they're going to go extinct soon enough.

The opening with the Angsty teen was just horrendous. That kid acts as badly as Kristen Stewart.

John Leguizamo gets a few chuckles here or there. But the film is dumbed down to extremely little kids or hyperactive kids with no sense of self control. Not even Prehistoric Planet, the kids version of the Walking with series ever talked down to kids like this one did. Little kids give brief facts to the audience like they're fucking morons the whole film.

I need a drink. I really just wanted to suddenly fall asleep several times but couldn't, as the visuals were too pretty.
