NONE.

Remakes are lazy & idiotic and the obsession with them needs to stop RIGHT NOW.

Fuck it, i'm gonna add something to the thread apart from wanting to say "no more remakes"

Blade 2.

You have an outstanding first movie that creates a lot of intrigue and an enjoyable story, then they fuck it up in the worst possible way. They could have done soooooo much for a sequel but instead they went with the shit thing of being all best mates with the enemy to kill a new enemy, yawn.

Edit: I wanna expand on it.

I wish they covered in more detail Blade's backstory especially with Whistler, and him growing up in the way that he did - surely he made other enemies during that time or even his presense in the Chezch Republic at the end of the first, like his new enemy was there.

What happened to the Doctor, did they find a cure for Blade or find a way to truly control his thirst? They created questions I would have liked seen expanded upon further. Also the soundtrack of Blade >>>>>>>>> Blade 2

Gojira. Set in Japan in 1954, with an entirely Japanese cast, save for Raymond Burr's character in Godzilla who could provide an American perspective and a photo-realistic CG Goji. Think "Memoirs of a Geisha" meets Godzilla.

They need to go back to the original idea. He wasn't a superhero, he wasn't a supervillain, he was stone cold horror. You have to understand that after having two atomic bombs dropped on them, the Japanese were scared crazy about what had happened to their world around them, i.e. nature. They are very superstitious people, so the "what have we done to nature?" mentality and seeing nature rise up and literally begin a campaign of obliteration is scarier than Jason walking around the corner with a machete. Actually, before he was designed as a dinosaur, he was designed as a monster resembling a mushroom cloud. Make Goji scary again. And after seeing GMK, it's not impossible by any means. His freaked-out eyes gave me chills.

This is an excellent example of what I'm talking about. Except, make him eerie.

Except if Raymond Burr's character is in it, it isnt a remake of Gojira, its a remake of Godzilla: King of the Monsters. They came across as VERY different films to me.

(yes, I'm feeling pedantic)

No, keep it Gojira, with an American just happening to be in it in a small role. Gojira is a far superior film than that horrible re-edit. Having an American present just makes it more relatable for American audiences.

Why would Mike Myers (46) be trying to save Miley Cyrus (16)? Peach was Mario's damsel in distress, not rebellious teenaged daughter.
