It's too bad they most likely won't cast him in the movie because he'd be perfect for it. The guy who plays dinoso on NCIS could work too. I have that ring, it came out from DC Direct in the late 90's.

Someone needs to come to their senses and make this movie. Forget another Superman, what we need is some Green Lanturn! Seriously. I can't wait for the animated one though.

Also there is a live action Green Lantern film in production, they haven't picked a star yet, and it starts filming this fall.

I would love to see Fillion as Hal, but I doubt it'd happen. I do think that Jamie Bamber from NBSG would make a great choice too. Honestly though, I'd rather see GL as a computer animated film than as a live action film. The scope of the GLU is just too big IMO for live action.
And VS, that final clip was from White Noise 2. A damn good film that was much better than the original.
