I didn't realise quite how bad a film Congo was. And really, if you had Bruce Campbell available, why would you then kill him off and go with some curly-haired nonentity as one of your male leads?

The perfect haiku would have just two syllables: Airwolf.

STOP EATING MY SESAME CAKE!

A new meme is born.

Though they're not monkeys, they're apes. Apes have no tails but have apposable thumbs, monkeys have tails and thumbs but their hands are shaped like a hook so the thumb is basically useless.

Ok, they're apes.

But they're still monkeys.

When I saw the review started with him just grunting with subtitles my first thought was "Did his voice go out AGAIN?!"

Get this. The movie is based off a book.
The movie's ending is actually better than the book's. In the book, Karen and Peter are surrounded by cannibal tribesmen, angry gorillas, an earthquake and an exploding volcano -- and then the book just ends, with a small epilogue explaining what everybody did after they got out of there. ...At this point, Chricton (the director) could write anything and make a mint, and he took advantage.
