Well it was for me anyway, because I've read the book that it all comes from... but.
In the extras theres a little bit where Hollis gets beaten up by the thugs... but thats not in the film. Don't tell me they're going to bring out another version of this film with the deleted scene in there? Cuz that would suck.
Edit
So my copy isn't the full version... but other countries do? WTF man? I'm a bit annoyed now actually.

Which is why I have been holding off getting this in hopes we either get it down the road, or a complete version with the 'Under the Hood' and 'Tales of the Black Freighter' added in. Quote: Chaos was the law of nature; order was the dream of man.

Both are cerebral films but thats where they diverge. The characters are just as strong if not stronger on screen than in print and the threat of Nuclear War that rang true in the 80s is just as potent today. Each character, from THE MINUTEMEN to THE WATCHMEN are archtypes of American Society.
In Watchmen a former vigilante realizes that the only way to achieve peace is to use generators mimicking Dr. Manhattans power to devestate key areas throughout the world to force mankind into an era of peace. I had read the book, and seen the film a half dozen times but I still can't help smiling at a film as dense as Watchmen was. What I think people had a problem was with the film was its complexity and that it was a film that demanded your undivided attention from start to finish. I also think that what hurt the film was the court battle between Warner Bros and Fox + the media bashing the film for being so serious.
I know that there is an Ultimate Edition did I say that right coming out in December or November of this year.
[01] Watchmen: Ultimate Edition
- This will include the Tales of The Black Freightner
[02] Watchmen: Theatrical Edition
[03] Watchmen: Directors Cut
[04] Watchmen: Motion Comic
[05] Watchmen: Tales of The Black Freightner and Under the Hood |

#450 | | Now you see me... Join Date: Feb 2005 Posts: 1,064 Location: Dallas, TX Collection Count: 100+ | I bought the director's cut with digital copy last week. I was on a trip and watched the digital copy first on my iPhone...and was blown away. The directors cut is even better! I can't believe I read the book multiple times and never saw it on the big screen. I guess I was worried I was going to be let down. The actors are great and the soundtrack is killer. The part where NO and R are walking up to Ozy's HQ was perfectly synch'd with Jimi's lyrics. Lost and Found Toys |
