It doesn't need to dismiss the previous stuff. As you said, the war is long (about 3 years between Eps II and III). Plenty of time for more. The movie and series (so far) fit between Chapters 21 and 22 of the Tartakovsky series. That's the first two episodes of season three or DVD volume two. And Lucas has said he doesn't intend for the CG series to supersede the original.
So then Anakin got the scar on his eye from the quest to save those nomadic people (when they put the little creatures on his face), rescued them and when they returned to the ship they got the order to rescue Palapatine, and Episode 3 began with that rescue. But on this new series, Anakin already has the scar over his eye.

I'm confused, but honestly, I don't care. I like what I saw.

Hey Joe, last night when I watched it, it said Broadcast in HD. And this morning I downloaded some HD copies. Did you get to watch it in HD?

I once farted on the set of Blue Lagoon.

Actually, Anakin already had that scar before those leech things. Happened during a mission we didn't see in the previous series. I think it happened in one of the comics or novels and I think that scar was given to him by Ventress, though I'm not 100% on that.
"Remember, stop pushing when the Q-Tip hits resistance!"
"What did you say? Keep pushing?"
"Yeah, you go nuts with that."

So those little critters just kinda "painted" over it? Which explains why he winced at that point. Ok that makes a lot more sense now. I don't care about little continuity issues, but major ones do bother me.

Not all areas have every channel in HD.

Cartoon Network around here is SD only.

They actually did broadcast it in HD. Impressive it was. Of note, this is the first program that CN has ever broadcast in actual (not stretched) HD. Hopefully they are finally going to start using their HD channel correctly instead of simply stretching everything.

I've seen the first 2 episodes, and I actually enjoyed them. I honestly didn't think I would, but I gave it a chance and it wasn't nearly as bad as I'd expected it to be. I still prefer Tartakovsky's Clone Wars cartoon, but that's partly because I think the guy's a genius (IMO Samurai Jack is the best carton I have ever watched).
I'll keep watching as long as future episodes stay as good as the first 2.

CTV has the rights and apparently they and Space are going to air it starting sometime this fall, when specifically who knows I'm thinking November sometime.

I'm going to watch the rebroadcast sunday, I hated the movie but I'll give the episodes a chance. There's no way though they'll ever be the masterpiece that the Glen T. Clone Wars is.

Not only that, but how happily they were doing it.

The Droids are certainly rocking in this show
