But this just sounds like it hurts. Beware, the Collider link may have spoilers. http://www.slashfilm.com/2008/05/16/...te-video-clip/ http://www.collider.com/entertainmen...id=7903&tcid=1 Quote: |
“The Happening is a terrible, terrible movie. I mean, it’s bad on an epic scale. It’s so bad that I can’t possibly tell you how bad it is without understating the point or making it sound like I’m picking on the film. But let me stress: this is not pent-up Shyamalan aggression or a desire to see him fail. This is bad in a jaw-dropping “they can’t really be serious, can they?” kind of way. The closest comparison I can draw is to Neil LaBute’s “Wicker Man” and, like that film, the only consolation I can offer potential theater-goers is that you might want to see it just to be in on the ground floor when the film gets its ass handed back to it.”

I hope it isn't that bad; I like MNS. I loved Signs, and hope this follows in that general direction. I can't imagine MW doing a bad acting job, after his recent hits, but anything could happen. I hope it is better than they say.

This has made me enjoy all of his movies, twist or not, a whole lot better. I once farted on the set of Blue Lagoon. |

I'm one of the 8 or 9 people who really enjoyed 'Lady in the Water,' though I felt 'The Village' was a bit weak. However, Hulk will smash puny Shyamalan. |

Doesn't look too bad, but I can see where they are coming from in regards to Wahlberg's performance. But regardless, I still want to see the movie. Just have to put my dumb hat on...
