I loved watching it, I never knew it got cancelled (back when, didn't know what "canceled" meant, shows just "disappeared" or "Reruned").
A bunch of episodes are availble from: Quote:
Using an art style similar to that of Men in Black: The Series and Extreme Ghostbusters, the series follows the Humanitarian Environmental Analysis Team (or "HEAT"), a research team lead by Dr. Nick Tatopoulos (voiced by Ian Ziering) as they battle giant creatures which frequently appear in the wake of the events depicted in the film.
Godzilla, the only hatchling to survive in the original movie, imprints on Nick and provides the "muscle" against the other monsters encountered by the human characters, much in the spirit of the Japanese Shōwa era films and the Hanna-Barbera cartoon.
Also more in keeping with the Japanese image were Godzilla's atomic breath (absent in the film, though some fans disagree on this due to an odd glow in the monster's teeth and tongue that has been noted, and the detonation of some objects exposed to the monster's 'hurricane wind breath').
The series also introduces two new characters: Monique Dupre, a French secret agent assigned by Philippe Roache to keep an eye on Godzilla and HEAT, and Randy Hernandez, an intern of Nick's who specializes in computer hacking.
Despite the negative response to the 1998 film, the animated series still did well during Fox Kids' Saturday morning line-up. Ultimately, the series was overshadowed by the late 1990s Pokémon – Digimon war between Kids WB and Fox Kids during the 1998-1999 season. The result was Godzilla: The Series being placed in different timeslots on Saturdays to accommodate many of the Digimon marathons and "Back-to-Back" episodes; this would also affect other Fox Kids shows as well. For a brief period of time, episodes of Godzilla: The Series were either never repeated, or skipped over and rescheduled. There was a brief period where the show was taken off the schedule to accommodate new shows for mid-season, resulting in three episodes that were never broadcast.

I might've loved watching Digimon (never cared for Pokemon), at least the first three seasons, but Godzilla: The Series was plain awesomness and didn't deserve to get cancelled because of it. I wish FOX would release it on DVD too. Its the only thing I think they didn't sell away to the tyrant known as Walt-Disney Corp. "Burn your tongue; Your a liar because someone disagrees with you," |

Not to mention there were 3 episodes only aired in Europe and Australia that I've never seen. I really wished they would have made the Intro into a full fledged episode. Like if they had some kind of time machine were the team went into the future were Godzilla made a last stand against all his enemies in NYC. OooO shivers. |

There were a number of shows released around the same time, using a similar animation style and design flair and all of the were quite cool.
Men in Black, Extreme Ghostbusters etc. |

But yeah, Godzilla was an awesome series.
I think they have the Monster Wars on dvd, but it would be awesome to have had the full run. |
