'Bees have gone missing' was a good reference to one of the future episodes. Great episode 9/10.

Not impressed with much else of the episode though. Typical RTD really.
Last night's Torchwood was better. |

What a freaking letdown. What is it with TV this week; Torchwood, Doctor Who and TFA were all real dissapointments to me. I don't know, maybe I'm expecting too much.
Nevermind, I'll most likely keep watching, but frankly, Tate is almost enough for me to skip this altogether anyway. Nevermind, Sontarans, Ood and Daleks, that's gotta be worth sticking around for right? ...right? |

Whenever she was on screen she just seemed to be playing one of her awful characters. I just can't accept her as a 'serious' actress.
The fat creatures looked so fake too.
And I'm sure everyone knew Donna was gonna show her grandfather the Tardis in some way at the end. It was like writing by numbers.
And was that 'bin' bit supposed to be some kind of joke as if from her teen character? 'Bin there'?
The only decent bit was Rose. |

Collection Count: Lost count but there a whole load of minicons in there News Credits: 3 | I found it to be a fairly light hearted episode. Not the best, but certainly not the worse.
I wasn't to keen on the idea of the return of Donna, but I actually found her to be not as annoying as I thought she was. She doesn't seem to be all droopy eyes for the Doctor, and actually might be someone that can match him. Though whether it stays like this through the rest of the series remains to be seen.
The re-meeting between the two was humorous.
The nods to earlier episodes were good as well, plus a little nod to Torchwood (which has been a much better second series) and Donna's comment about the Doctor not killing these children.
I did know Rose was coming back, however I didn't know she'd show up in the first episode. Very interesting and wondering where this will lead.
Lets see if next week can remain the same or better. Quote: Chaos was the law of nature; order was the dream of man.

And I can't believe I just wrote that, but it's true.
And yes, Torchwood season 2 was a massive improvement on season 1. I hope they keep it up. |
