The Master? Afteraffects of him rejecting the regeneration after he was shot by that Dalek in Season 4? Just as long as he doesn't fall off a exercise bike. The 11th I'm taking the wait and see aproach |

I'm not sure I want to see it in the opening credits with the DW beside it though. It has a very clinical, clean look to it... I can't quite put my impression into words. It's not quite retro... it's a bit too polished and textured for that, but it does remind me of the Hartnell and Pertwee logos to some extent.
Interesting article here about the design: BBC's Doctor Who brand to regenerate with new logo - Marketing news - Marketing magazine Quote: BBC's Doctor Who brand to regenerate with new logo
LONDON - Doctor Who is being rebranded to give the programme a reconisable logo that will stand out among sci-fi film emblems, such as Superman, Star Trek and Batman.
New Doctor Who logo
The new brand identity will be introduced with the fifth series of Doctor due to air in Spring 2010.
The creative was developed by Red Bee Media alongside BBC One. The new logo features the Doctor's initials moulded into the shape of the iconic Tardis.
The redesign is part of a wider BBC One campaign to promote the launch of the new Doctor Who series. The campaign will roll out over the coming months on air, online and on radio.
It will be the first series of the programme to feature new Doctor, Matt Smith.

The Doctor Who News Page Quote: Barry Letts, producer of Doctor Who through one of its most fondly-remembered periods with Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor from 1970 to 1974, has died at the age of eighty-four.
Previously an actor, Letts moved behind the camera in the 1960s, finding work as a director on several programmes for BBC television. He first worked on Doctor Who as director of the 1968 Patrick Troughton serial Enemy of the World, before accepting the job of producer during production Jon Pertwee's first season, in 1969. Working closely in association with script editor Terrance Dicks, Letts oversaw the creative direction and production of the programme for the following five seasons.

I can't wait for the new series. I hope they bring back the 'face in the credits' thing - I miss that. It was one of the key things when my brother and I watched it - the theme and the wormhole and then the face. Ah, the memories. |

It somewhat incorporates the colour of the 80s logo and the styling of the 60s logo. Somewhat. I don't really care about the logo as long as it's not awful, I did love the McCoy logo when I was younger as it was on all the branding for ages! |

The 11th I'm taking the wait and see aproach | I would like him to either be trampled by a Myrka, slaughtered by an army of Kandymen or just run over by a van.
But knowing RTD it'll be the most drawn out, sappy regeneration sequence ever where every single character from his era including the dead ones will reappear with no explanation and proceed to give a nauseating display of tearful farewells as part of RTD's final attempt at convincing audiences that his Doctor was the greatest thing ever to happen to the show.
I for one think the show will be well rid of both Tennant and the man who hired him, though their replacements are hardly likely to be any better.
