With the addition of the four Thundercats sets today, my dvd count has hit 407 (I have lots of television season sets, so I counted each season box set as 1). The only problem with that is that I've run out of room on my dvd shelves and that style of shelf has been discontinued. I'm probably going to go up the wall with wall-mounted shelves.

I've got a slew of DVDs. According to DVD profiler, my oldest movie was produced in 1922. I'm thinking that is probably Nosferatu. I've got a lot of indies, b-movies, art house, and horror. Some highlights from the box sets are:

Essential Art House, vol. 1
Bava Box 1 and 2
The Matrix Box
The Nightmare on Elm St. Box
The Ultimate Dirty Harry Collection
Batman: The Complete Animated Series
The Ultimate Superman Collection
The Ultimate 007 Collection
The Ape-head Ultimate POTA Collection
The Oliver Stone Collection
The Vincent Price Boxset
The Coen Brothers Collection
The Woody Allen Collection, v. 1 & 3

Then there are the special sets of single movies, like Schindler's List, Bonnie and Clyde, Evil Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Seven Samurai, King Kong (33), etc.

My only real organization of the movies is to mix 'em up so people are screwed up when they are looking for something. For instance, I have Scarface, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Evil Dead, and High Noon side by side.

I've got all the Leone Spaghetti Westerns, 10 Argento Flicks, 8 Romeros, 15Bavas, 12 Stones, 9 Scorseses, 7 Eastwoods, 9 Coens, 15 Hitchcocks, 6 Kubricks, and so forth and so on.

I'm big on Janus, Criterion, Blue Underground, and pre-Starz Anchor Bay. The two actors found the most in my collection would probably be Al Pacino and Jimmy Stewart.

My collection has a lot of variety because I watch all kinds of different movies. Matter of fact, the last ten dvds I watched were: 2001, Plan 9, Donnie Darko, Masque of the Red Death, Sergeant York, Hair Spray, Mother of Tears, Gigi, Panic in the Year Zero, and Barton Fink.

Oh, and as for TVDVD, I've got all the X-Files, Smallvilles, ST:TOS, Seinfeld, and Everybody Loves Raymond. (Screw you, it is funny.)

My latest fetish has been buying up all the MGM Midnite Movies. I never should have signed up for Amazon Prime because now I don't have time to change my mind.
