    Pls

If you've read the leaked script, seen the acting in the trailers, and realize Doomsday shows up, I don't understand how it's possible for the film to be fun, let alone good. Age of Ultron was bad, but this is gonna be boring on top of bad, which is the worst.

So that's it then -- read the script and watched some trailers -- movie will definitely be shit; no reason to watch?

Did you also know that AoU would be shit before seeing it?

I'm paying my $15 to see Batman beat the shit out of Superman but like 10 Cloverfield Lane is the best March movie to see for sure.

Sadly I did not, left the theater very disappointed on exit. The only reason I think it will remain better than BvS (I have AOU as the second worst MCU film) is because the acting was at least acceptable. Cavill's line delivery that we've seen so far is hot garbage.

10 Cloverfield Lane looks interesting -- they certainly held a lot more back than the recent BvS trailer, but I'm not sure that will be the best March movie... it could be My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2.

If you say so... the actors were serviceable, but both Avengers movies are pretty "paint-by-numbers", with little impact or urgency, imo. I think the Russos will give us our first good Avengers movie with Captain America: Civil War... and then again with Infinity War.

I'd rather a good "by-the-numbers" movie than a MOS clusterfuck.

    k den...

Anyway, it's funny that people crap on Snyder's DC movies for the muted color tone, but then Daredevil shows up looking like Billy Zane's Phantom:

    Where's the RED, Marvel?

Hell, black-leather-obessed FOX out red-ed you:

I think the difference is that Marvel isn't using a filter in Daredevil (fuck that blue filter in AOU) to accomplish the muted tone.

Ironically I felt the strongest movie ads were Bourne and Cloverfield, and that the comic book ones were rather unremarkable. If I had to choose I'd probably go with Deadpool, as it looked the least bad.

Bourne and Cloverfield aren't really doing anything for me. I'll Netflix those.

Can't argue against Deadpool, though, especially when compared to the X-Men Apocalypse spot, which was all sorts of "meh". God, could you imagine if the DP test footage was never leaked? FOX is about to rebound in a big way, after the craptacular Fantastic Four, but none of that would have happened if not for that leaked footage.

I still think the BvS spots were pretty brilliant marketing, and TMNT just looks like crazy fun, but Deadpool's time is now.

The best Super Bowl spot for me was Jason Bourne. My second favorite was Civil War. I liked the Deadpool spot, but it didn't seem that different from some of the others, and it doesn't really count to me since we'll be seeing it in a week anyway. I'm already in a Deadpool mood anyway. I loved the X-men spot too. The Jungle Book had a great trailer, but the shortened TV spot itself could have been better. I thought the last shot of those BvS airline commercials was amazing, but they felt a little meh to me. I still don't care for Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. TMNT had a good spot too, and Independence Day 2 will probably be a bad movie, but I have liked the trailers so far. 10 Cloverfield Lane has had great marketing so far, and that TV spot was no exception as it adds more pieces to the puzzle. The only spot I really didn't like at all was The Secret Life of Pets mainly because it didn't add anything new, and I feel like I have seen that trailer a thousand times already.

I suspect I might be, if I decided to watch tonight's episode...

Adapting Alan Moore's "For the Man who has Everything" with CBS's Supergirl? lol, good luck with that.

I love Supergirl honestly. I don't think it as good as other DC shows at their best, but I certainly don't think it is anywhere near as bad as some people seem to think it is. The only comic book show on right now that I find unwatchable is Gotham.

I have to say I don't hate Supergirl either. There are times recently it has entertained me more than Arrow.

Was talking about this today with another fanboy. I think the whole comic book movie/tv universe is getting out of hand. Way too much os coming out. Just look at all the new tv shows announced this year, not to mention all the movies coming out this year. It's overkill and I think sooner or later people, not just the fanboys are going to get sick of it. I know I kinda already am. It reminds me of 1989 in a way after Batman hit all the studios started buying up a lot of the properties and tons of movies and tv shows were promised. They rushed a few films out in the early 90's like Punisher, Captain America and Fantastic Four. Look what piles of crap they turned out to be. I think they just need to tale a step back. Just my opinion though.

I'm not sure if that qualifies as trash talk, but I get your point. They need to be careful now. I don't think the DC TV universe should add any new shows until some of their others start ending. The main exception of that is if the show is in the same universe, but not really a superhero show. For example, if they were to do a Jonah Hex spin-off after his Legends of Tomorrow appearance, I think that would be ok since it is so different. I wouldn't say the early 90's were oversaturated with superhero stuff either. The only franchise that took off was Batman, and every studio tried to copy its success while not having faith in their own properties. The Dolph Lundgren Punisher and the 90's Captain America both went straight to DVD (Punisher did get a theatrical release outside the U.S. though, but international numbers weren't nearly as important back then). Fantastic Four didn't even get released. They even tried to make Superman more like Batman with Superman Lives before they cancelled it. It was definitely a strange and different time where it was clear that studios didn't quite understand the medium yet (they even derailed the Batman franchise with the Joel Schumacher movies after the huge success of the original Batman).

When we are talking about derailing The Batman franchise its important to remember that Batman Forever was a HUGE success for WB in 1995.

It was Batman & Robin that derailed everything truly. Batman & Robin was the way it was because WB seen how successful BF was and went overkill on the idiocy.

when we go back a touch further? It was the relentlessly bleak Batman Returns and outcry from the sponsers that gave birth to Schumachers regime.

I also have a morbid fascination with Superman Lives......it was so far along....I wonder what happened? Man its hard to imagine mullet sporting Cage as Superman.

Having seen Batman vs Superman I have to say its not as bad as many are saying but I wouldn't put it in my top 10 Superhero movies it must be said.
